Theodore's gaze deepened as he spoke to Amelia. "I didn't want to suspect Ronan before. There seemed no reason to. But now..." He paused thoughtfully. "I've already asked Marcus to investigate."
After a moment, Theodore glanced toward the corner where Damien Blackwood was nursing a drink. "Your ex-mate has been staring at you since he arrived."
Amelia cast a brief look in Damien's direction. Sure enough, his eyes were fixed on her. She noticed how different he looked now—no longer in cheap clothes but wearing a tailored suit that actually made him somewhat handsome.
