I cannot believe my eyesight has gotten so bad that I can’t even tell the difference between a ruby and a garnet! I regret not taking the extra time needed to conjure up some spectacles that I can use in the fairy realm. Truly, I have not been so embarrassed in a very long time!
It would not have been such an egregious error, though, if the “danger” our little group of travelers had been trying to avoid was none other than my ex husband Matheus Bacher! Unbelievable! Apparently he has been here all these many years, the bastard!
I hope Matheus never hears of my error. He would tease me relentlessly about it for centuries! That is, if I ever saw him again. It might not be the worst idea ever to use the garnet in order to avoid running into him again. Except that us
