ZAGREUS N°3 Leverport, Rosetall Island BH CORP. CLINIC Unit #13613 Beta Transensorial Studies Seokjin’s Two Thousand, and fourteenth (2014th) day  (Five years, six months and seven days) Seokjin reaches for the mirror as it falls off the wall, cutting his palm with a sharp edge before the thing crashes into pieces against the ground.  He jumps back and stares at the pieces of reflective surface, frowning as he notices some of the ones that fell face down have something written on them, “...closer, I love you,” he reads with a slight frown that brings his eyebrows together  Quickly, he picks up a medium-sized piece from the floor and sticks it in the back of his pants, taking a deep breath as he does, before stepping on the rest of the mirror as if to make the text on it as illegible as possible without it looking like he did it on purpose. Jin stalks out of the bathroom, holding his hand up and letting the blood fall down the front of his uniform, "Help, please!" he screams as dramatically as he can manage without it being too much.  "Oh, Seokjin-ssi," a nurse says as he comes running down the hallway with urgency coating her young features, "What happened to you?" she asks holding Jin's hand carefully between her own.  "The mirror," Seokjin explains, purposely fastening his breathing as he points to the inside of the bathroom, "It fell off the wall. I wanted to stop it but I cut myself."  The nurse purses his lips, nodding along with Jin's words, "Alright, come with me, I think doctor Shao Zhen is free to see you right now."  Seokjin follows the shorter woman around to the other side of the building where he’s shoved into doctor Shao Zhen’s office where he gets his hand checked, cleaned and wrapped in a black bandage that makes the skin around the cut sting unpleasantly. After the doctor sends him out with a small—, “Shoo, shoo—,” that makes him chuckle softly, Jin goes directly to the shower room where he finds his roommate, Taehyung and Jimin talking animatedly. “...them as well,” he can hear Jungkook say as he closes the door behind his back, and Taehyung bites down on a yellow apple.  Seokjin tries to pass unnoticed, walking towards the small locker where his shampoo and soap are safely guarded against Namjoon’s clumsy hands as the man has a reputation of breaking other people’s bottles by accident every now and then. He fails miserably however when he turns back around and his bloody shirt attracts the other three men’ eyes to him, “What happened to you?” the three of them ask in a chorus, some more worried than the other and Seokjin would feel offended that Taehyung is the one who seemingly cares less if he hadn’t told him his plan of breaking the mirror beforehand. “I cut my hand open with a mirror,” Jin explains, waving his covered hand before their face in a half-hearted fashion, “It’s nothing, blood is just scandalous like that.”  He starts to unbutton his shirt and throws it on the little wooden bench in the middle of the room after letting it fall off his shoulders, “I’ll take that as my queue,” Jungkook says before practically running out of the room, leaving the rest of them giggling.  Jimin rolls his eyes fondly, “You’ve traumatized him, Hyung,” he comments lightly before stalking out behind Jungkook. Taehyung laughs giving his apple one last bite, “Can I join you?” he asks lowering the tone of his voice into a sultry whisper as he runs a hand across Seokjin’s broad shoulders.  Jin turns around to look at Tae in the eye and finds out that he’s biting down on his lower lip and staring at his chest like he’s never seen it before. He smirks, tangling a hand on the back of Taehyung’s hair to tug his face up without using much strength, “How about you go to my room, bring me a new shirt, and then you can join me in the shower?” he asks, periodically getting his lips closer to Tae’s slightly open mouth with each word. Taehyung nods silently, taking the dirty shirt in one hand and the apple core in the other. It would be a lie to say he’s not disappointed when the other man doesn’t come back before his shower is over and he’s left to walk frustrated and shirtless down the hallway to his and Jungkook’s room to find a shirt before going to lunch where he finds everyone already sitting around their table.  “Hey, I’m sorry, they took me for a surprise appointment,” Taehyung apologizes as Seokjin sits on the chair next to his.  “Don’t worry about it,” Seokjin murmurs softly, sending a bright smile towards Namjoon who looks ever so lost looking at the exchange, “Did you see anything at the lab?” Jin asks bringing everyone’s attention towards Taehyung.  “No, everything was fine, but they asked me to write a report on my dream of the other night,” Tae says.  Jimin nods accordingly while all of them wait in silence for their plates to be set on the table by the staff so they can start eating, “What about your thing with the mirror, Hyung?” Jungkook asks once he’s sure the coast is clear.  “I didn’t see much,” Seokjin shrugs, “I’ll try again later.”  Namjoon chews on a spoonful of kimchi before speaking up curiously, “I thought the mirror had to be black for it to work,” he comments.  Seokjin explains them briefly that for him to see images in the mirror, it is better if the surface has been coated with black paint previously as those come cleared in a dark base but that it’s not completely necessary as he learned to scry on a mirror that was not painted in the first place. While they eat in silence, Jin observes the other two tables, each one in opposite corners of the room where the two interns they’re not allowed to talk to sit with their backs turned to the room and watches carefully the way the guards around the two men move periodically away from them; short moments in which the shorter one with the blond hair looks around until his eyes meet the other man for a brief second in which they seem to communicate.  Once lunch is over, he goes between thinking about a way to get closer to Namjoon’s old friends and looking at his piece of the broken mirror until his mind gets tired and with a deep sigh, he decides to take a break and walks up the hallway to Taehyung’s and Jimin’s room, expecting to find a distraction.    “Hello, there,” he says, opening the door and picking his head inside the small room where he sees Taehyung alone, writing something on an old notebook Jin recognizes as the one where Tae enjoys drawing little sketches every now and then.  Taehyung looks up from his notebook with a bright smile while his dark eyes follow Seokjin’s movements as he lays on his bed, groaning happily as his long body accommodates on the mattress.  “Hi,” he says, rubbing a hand over his face, “What happened?”  Seokjin shrugs, “I got tired of looking at the mirror,” he says pulling a chuckle out of Taehyung, “What?”  “You finally got tired of looking at yourself,” Tae states amusedly.  Jin throws a pillow at his head and sighs satisfactorily when the white rectangle hits him right on the side of the face, “Shut up,” he says, giggling anyway. “Did you get anything about the ugly part of my vision?” Taehyung asks, letting his pencil fall on the desk as he decides he’s done with whatever he was doing and crawls on to the bed with Jin, who opens his arms widely to receive Tae into them.  Seokjin sighs, bringing his still bandaged hand up to the other man’s face, “No, but everything looks really ugly outside regardless,” he comments and silence falls around them for a couple of minutes in which they just enjoy each other’s presence. The door flies open then, crashing against the far wall to let Jimin’s breathless figure inside, “Tae, Tae,” he calls nervously before acknowledging Seokjin with a slight nod of his head, “I saw it, Jin Hyung I saw it.”  The couple jumps off the bed to try and calm their friend down.
