Episode four: HOW TO LOVE

The next day, Mabel woke up trying to arrange her clothes in the wardrobe and sort out the clothes to wear for the day. She paused and begin to imagine,how is the day going to be?

"Oh! My God".

Indeed! I wish I had known something of this before. Bless me,how shall I behave?

"One of the shyest and quietest young man in the world!!". This statement baffles Mabel,who ponders at Mr Nike last quality by saying: "This news of dad has put me all in flutter". 'Young', 'handsome', these he put last, but I put them foremost. Sensible, good-natured, I like all that. But reserved and sheepish that's much against him. Yet can he,be cure of this timidity, being taught of how to be proud of his wife?. Yes!! and can't I, But I vow I'm disposing of a husband, before I secure a lover".

Who is there? Mabel asked.

Is me! Benita!, your friend,open the door Benita enters the room and walks towards the bed to have a seat. I am glad you are here, my dear.Tell me, "how am I looking this morning?, is there anything whimsical about me? Is it one of my well looking days? Mabel asked.

You are looking perfect Mabel, Let me look again, has the dog been fighting with the cat over the strangers fish,or has Mrs piggy's son ask you out, for a date again.( Benita teased)

No!! nothing of all this, Benita.I have been....(she stammered) I'm scared,I have been threatened with a lover

"And his name?" Benita asked

"Nike" replied Mabel

Indeed! (Benita exclaimed)

Son of Mr Richmond, Mabel added.

I believe I have heard of the young fellow before now, he is the most intimate friend of Mr Neman, my admirer during our days in junior high school, they are never in asunder.I believe you must have seen him, when will live in the town.

"Never!" Mabel exclaimed

He has a very singular character, I assure you, among women of reputation and virtue, he is the most modest man ever lived, but his acquaintance give a very different character among creature of another stamp.You understand me right?

Okay, (Benita continue)I mean, Nike is very timid with women of his class, but very confident with women below his class, now do you understand me?

I meant women, that are not of high reputation or class, such as;a janitor, bar-maid etc.

Oh! Oh! I understand Benita!, "what kind of a man is this,? that can't stand among his peers and defend his self" My God bless me!

It's depends Mabel, he speaks to the male gender very well, and even to his friend Neman, but the classic women aspect, he fails . But everyone wants a modest man isn't it?

Yes! my dear, Mabel replied, I always wanted a confident lover, the one that can defend me like prince Harris in *The lover's chase*.

Hahaha...........(Benita chuckled)

Mabel!, is time to get off, this fantasy of Prince Harris of the lover's chase, Clinton of the devoted lover and so on, with the long list of your blue print. Baby girl, it's time to sit down with reality and face it with boldness. Okay!

'No but!', Mabel, you have to act like a real girl, and real girls, take no s**t from a man, but can take a s**t for man, who is modest like Nike,by influencing him to love you like his mother.He got an odd character but he's still okay, baby girl. You get me right?.

Yes!,an odd character indeed!,Benita, I pray, it's turn out to be a success and I will be able to manage him,So how about your own love affairs?

Fine, Benita replied, The big headed young man is doing just well for me and I'm just coming from a friend's house, who once said,give all you got to a man and keep him for life,guess what?

What?!! Mabel replied.

She just got a break up yesterday from that lover boy, after her pathetic advice to me, some years back.

"That's so bad", this guy, do needs a Reverend's prayer for this, for breaking a tender heart.

Hahaha!............. Mabel, she has gotten it, she just have to move on with her life, and face the reality, there are some many fishes in the river, if you miss the tilapia, you got the shark to catch, girl!!.

Mabel!!!............ Shouted Mrs. Williams

you better hurry up and get dressed, Nike Will soon be here, as she also instructs her servants to put things in order.

"Beverly!! Prepare the sauce deliciously".

Tony!! make sure you clean the table and put my " pretty old wedding flowers" there, cause love is about to be set aflame again in my house.

Yes!! Mum, "just give me some minutes!!"
