Chapter 7 | Pit Fight

"I don't care what happens today. Lexi doesn't stand a chance with me. Just stay alive and we should be fine." 

"Did you really not lead her on? Why is she suddenly after the luna title? You have been hiding something from me. Why don't you come clean? You f****d her, didn't you?" Sienna sounded pissed.

Alpha Kayden let out a low growl before cupping Sienna's face.

"Ci, for the last time, I did NOT f**k her or anybody. Don't push it with me, okay?"

"Oh yeah? Whose smell was on your lips yesterday then? You think you can go around kissing others just because you are the Alpha? Tell me who it was and I'll stop asking."

Alpha Kayden fell silent. I lifted my arm to my nose. What did I smell like to him? And to Sienna? He didn't deny kissing someone who wasn't his girlfriend.

"Who are you protecting, Kay? I'm going to kill that b***h after I'm done with Lexi."

I heard him hiss, and I couldn't help feel scared and excited at the same time. Was Sienna really going to kill me if she ever saw me with him? Was he not telling her the truth because he wanted to protect me from her?

How pathetic, Kiki?! He kissed me when he had a girlfriend. He wasn't a loyal person, and I was feeling tingles, thinking he wanted to keep me safe from someone who should be rightfully pissed.

If I had any illusions that he might be thinking about me yesterday after our kiss, he shattered them right now by kissing her passionately. It must be to shut her up, or maybe because he found her irresistible when she was going off on him like that; no matter what the reason was, they were in a relationship and making out while I was the creep watching them from a faraway corner.

My stupid dreamy ass needed a sharp nudge to come back to reality, and it got just that. Sienna was moaning in his mouth, and her hands trailed down his torso, reaching for the bulge that was under his pants.

He was hard for her.

I wanted to throw up. Pathetic indeed. I closed my eyes to stop the meaningless tears that were pooling out of my eyes. It's not normal to feel this pull and longing for someone who was already taken.

Could you blame him for feeling drawn to her? With that creamy olive skin, long black lashes that framed her jade green eyes, and beautiful blonde curls that cascaded down her back, she wasn't just a powerful wolf but a natural beauty. 

I was no match to her looks or strength. Unlike when I was twelve, I wasn't even fit enough to put up a tough fight before getting my ass kicked. She was a strong, indomitable wolf, and Alpha Kayden was into her. The sooner I made peace with this, the better. 

After crying in the arena bathroom for a while, I stepped out, and it was time for the fight already. My stomach growled at the smell of hot dogs and popcorn. I forgot to eat lunch.

"Want some?" Ivory, my omega friend, pushed some buffalo chicken wings under my nose. The vapors from those hot wings made my stomach growl one more time before I accepted a piece out of her meal combo basket.

Ivory was the person who did laundry for the entire pack. She was also my classmate and a she-wolf who had found her mate last month. It was none other than Alpha Kayden's beta, Beta Zeke. He rejected her two seconds later for being an omega. She looked unusually calm for someone going through rejection.

Lexi was Beta Zeke's sister. Sienna was strong enough even mentally to put her in her place, despite Lexi's many attempts to bully her. Today was when she got the license to beat Lexi up. And she seemed to be doing a fantastic job right now. She was like a caged wild animal, waiting to break free.

Zeta Archer's words filled my head as I watched the fight. I learned thousands of tips from him, and I was good at implementing them to bring my opponent down. I felt pumped watching them fight. It was a strange feeling.

Determination was written all over Lexi's face, and she had exceeded Sienna's expectations. She was strong, but Sienna was stronger and faster. Dodging Lexi's incessant blows while making her own, Sienna forced Lexi to get frustrated and shift into her wolf form. A large brown wolf burst out of her body, snarling at everyone before focusing her attention on Sienna.

The crowds gasped at the beauty of Sienna's beautiful white wolf. She was also as large as Lexi's wolf. White Warrior wolves were genetically very large, just like the alpha wolves. She jumped forward with inhumane speed, with her jaws open and aiming for the brown wolf's throat.

Lexi dodged her assault but her energy started to wane as time passed by. I got up to buy some meatball sliders and shared them with Ivory. Those spicy wings were good, and I finished most of them for her.

"Oooo!" The crowds went gasping again when Lexi barely escaped a fatal hit from Sienna in her abdomen. Coiling her body away from the large brown wolf, Sienna's wolf sunk her teeth into her neck. 

Everyone stood up. Beta Zeke was yelling at Lexi. "Submit!!"

Sienna was waiting to snap her neck if Lexi didn't submit. Lexi still looked determined, but she suddenly hit the ground from blood loss.

"Luna Sienna!!" The crowds cheered for her while I choked on my meatball.

Pain coursed through my body at an incredible intensity just hearing those damned words. Alpha Kayden added some salt over my wound by walking over with a fluffy white towel towards Sienna as her gorgeous white fur retreated from her body.

He could feel my pained, lingering glances. Stabbing my feelings straight in the heart, he pulled up Sienna to her feet and hugged her.   

Damn his public display of affection!
