~Kiki~
If looks could strip someone bare, I was buck naked in front of Alpha Kayden's hungry eyes. My stomach did several flips in response to the way his eyes raked my body before settling on my lips.
I looked away in dismay, reminding myself that his one arm was wrapped around Sienna even right now. What kind of a man stares at other women with such lust when he has a beautiful woman right by his side? He was no good, and neither Sienna nor I needed someone like that.
Benji and the others went over to greet him, and Leroy shared some inside joke with the older guys before we walked over to the bar area to get ourselves some appetizers.
"It's a bummer neither of you got one of these." Leroy pulled out a fake ID and handed it over to the bartender. "One Tom Collins."
Clever. He ordered a drink that looked like water to someone who would question his underage drinking. I always wanted to taste the alcohol, but the smell never appealed to me. Megan didn't care while Benji looked at Leroy with envy.
Our loaded nachos and chili cheese fries were ready in no time, and we finished them all in a hurry before getting down to the dance floor.
For someone who was over six feet tall and well-built, Leroy seemed to be a lightweight. He had two left feet while moving to the groovy music. I was unfortunately left to deal with him while Megan and Benji spent most of the time dancing as a couple.
"Let's get to the cake!" Benji answered a call and told us.
"Wait, there's a cake?" I was suddenly excited. It's been so long I had cut one of those.
"Surprise!" Ivory showed up with a big bag and a birthday hat. "Sorry, I'm late."
"So happy you are here!" I hugged her, and she went over to set up the cake at a booth. The rest of us ordered more food and walked over to the booth. I couldn't help looking at the other table where Alpha Kayden was sitting as I could feel his burning gaze.
Ignoring his existence, I paid attention to the delicious cake in front of my eyes.
"Oh my! A raspberry dark chocolate cheesecake!!"
"Your favorite. Here." Benji passed the knife to me as everyone started singing once the candles were lit.
Birthday at a club. It was strangely exciting, especially the sight of the colorful cake. Blowing out the candles, I cut the cake and fed a piece each to Megan, Benji, and Ivory. I handed the fourth piece to Leroy who cupped the back of my head with his large palm and pushed the cake against my lips.
"Thank you." I was already on cake overdose while chowing down the fourth slice.
"This is so good!" Megan licked her fingers while my eyes went over to Alpha Kayden again. He wouldn't stop looking at me. What was wrong with him?
"Is there a different lounge here? Or this is it?" I asked Benji, wanting to get out of there.
"There's the rooftop for live music. But it's not open on Sundays. Are you bored here already?" Benji wrapped his arm around me and asked.
"No, I was just wondering."
"Let's go back to dancing. Come on, you guys!" Megan twirled around, leading the way to the dance floor.
Within minutes, I found myself with Leroy again. Not sure if it was the alcohol, or he was being himself, but he seemed to get too touchy feely with me tonight and didn't seem to care if I liked it or not.
"Lee, stay in your space, okay?" I moved his hand away from my waist, talking to him like he was a five year old.
"What's wrong? Can't keep up with my moves?" He pulled me towards him harder, and my body pressed against his before I could recoil.
I thought I heard a growl over all the noise and loud music. Not wanting to know where it came from, I continued moving my body to the beat while trying to keep a safe distance from Leroy.
It was one thing to sing in the bathroom and try some funny moves in my bedroom. Dancing to groovy hip-hop in a club filled with sweaty bodies was totally different. It was a lot more fun and exhilarating in an odd way.
Even with not a drop of alcohol in my body, it was telling me to forget about my reservations and just give into Leroy's advances.
'It's all fun and dance until it lasts and then I can shoo him away,' my twisted mind was trying to tell me.
He was probably just drunk and won't remember any of it anyway. And once he sees me go back to my faded jeans, he wouldn't even bother looking at me.
I let myself loose with that thought and let him touch me. His left thumb was so very close to the upward curve of my breast. I didn't like it. This was not how it felt when Alpha Kayden's arms were wrapped around me. I continued dancing and allowing him to touch me while wanting Alpha Kayden to take Leroy's place.
Voila!
The birthday girl's wishes seem to have come true.
Alpha Kayden was standing right in front of me. Did he just push Leroy out of the way? He didn't look very happy. What was wrong with him anyway? I was on a cake high, if there was such a thing, and the alpha's mad face didn't appeal to me at all.
Grabbing me by the arm, he dragged me away from the crowds, towards the empty hallway that led to the restroom. Shivers danced down my spine as his firm hands pinned me to the wall.
"What the hell were you doing?" He asked, and I wondered why he was asking the question I was supposed to ask him.
"Excuse me?" I was super mad at him for reasons that were beyond me.
"Are you and Lee dating now?"
"How is that your concern?"
"Answer me, and where's the alpha when you are speaking to me?"
"Alpha, how is it your concern if I dance with Lee, Alpha? Is that why you were asking me about dating him? Alpha?"
He closed the space between us. "It's not funny, Kiki. You have no idea how hard it's been to stay away from you. What are you doing to me?"
My body ached with need at the tone of his voice. It was sexy and desperate in a pleasant way, sending tingles all over my body.
"Say something, Kiki."
"I-I have to go."
I steadied myself and moved along the wall to get away from him. His lips were on mine the next moment, teasing them into a deep kiss. An electric surge swept through me as he sucked on my lips like there was no tomorrow.
His lips moved down my neck while his fingers traced the swell of my breasts through the keyhole neck. Never did I think he would be touching me this way when I bought the dress. It was the dress that drew Leroy to my body. Alpha Kayden was drawn to me even when I was in my worst baggy outfits the last two times.
I refrained from running my hands to tug at his bronze locks and tried to pull away from the kiss instead. He stopped kissing me when he noticed my unwillingness.
Stroking the skin under my earlobe with his long fingers, he caused a delicious jolt to wash through my body once more.
"Kiki... kiss me back." It was more of a request than a command. He looked smitten, and I was dumbfounded.
"N-no."
I ran back to Megan, wanting to leave the place right away.
"Oh no, what's wrong? You seem to be wheezing." Benji took me away from the crowds when he saw my probably flushed face.
"I'm not wheezing. I just want to go home."
"Argh! What a bummer!" Megan joined us and led the way to the car while Leroy followed absentmindedly. He seemed to have had a fourth drink and was completely tipsy as he opened the door for me.
We drove back in silence, mostly because Megan was pissed. Ignoring everyone, I went into my room to take a cold shower. I got myself out of the dress and hopped in the water, letting my mind drift to what happened just twenty minutes back.
Alpha Kayden's touch and kisses filled my thoughts. His warm breath fanning my cheeks, his fingers leaving warm trails in their wake, and those kissable lips pressed against my neck... aahhh! I needed to stop thinking about him. That was the whole point of torturing myself with such cold water.
After an hour long cold bath and then switching to a warm pampering shower for another thirty minutes, I wrapped a soft towel around my body and let my hair loose, checking my face in the mirror. With just one kiss, there seemed to be a s*x glow somehow.
Ridiculous!
It must be the hot water.
As I continued staring at my hair and sparkly eyes, wondering if I really was glowing in happiness for some strange reason, I heard the bedroom window creak, as if someone was trying to pry it open from the outside.
With my heart pounding wildly inside my chest, I stepped out of the bathroom to check, hoping it wasn't the drunk, creepy guy Leroy.
