I s***h the air with my gunong. It’s been a week now since I went to the Quads office to register my name as one of the participants for the Scepter selection, which will happen in a month. I’ve prepared the best way I can. All I need to do is continue my training.
“Are you looking for me?” Nico interrupts. ”This is not your usual spot,” he adds.
For my monthly battle with Nico, I requested to do it at the Southern part close to the warrior’s barracks. With the border on our side, only the patrolling warriors will be able to see us.
“The familiar surroundings might give you an advantage,” I answer as I watch him tie his horse on one of the trees beside mine.
“You’ve become quite cheeky.”
“And you’ve become more talkative.”
We stare at each other as if sizing each other up, and then
