Jax's Return

Jax POV

I awoke at dawn to Dawson yelling ‘GET UP! GET UP! GET UP!’ Groaning I slowly sit up and rub my face, silently cursing myself for not shaving during this trip. ‘I’m up, damn what has gotten into you?’ I snark back to Dawson, still groggy and frustrated from being woken up. ‘It’s time to go home, let’s go.’ I smile, remembering the fact that we ended the meeting last night, thankfully. I quickly get out of bed and go to the adjoining bathroom to shower, shave, and get ready for the trip home. Thankfully it doesn’t take long before I arrive, the scent of my mate still lingering, teasing Dawson and I. I quickly park and go to my room, unpacking and settling everything back where it belongs before heading towards my father’s office. As I arrive, the guard looks to me “You are home early, your father will return shortly, he is tending to the rouge situation.” he says, bowing respectfully. “Thank you, and yes, all the alphas were able to come to a multi-treaty. As of now, all of the nearby packs are currently allies.” I state, entering my father’s office and taking the seat across from his desk pulling out my phone to play a few games while I wait.

Olyvia POV

“Six days?” I stare at King Andrew in shock, “It only felt like I was asleep for a few minutes.” He looks at me with a look of curiosity and concern before standing “I must take my leave now, my son has arrived home early, which may be concerning. Please make yourself at home, once the doctor releases you I will have someone show you to a bedroom for you to stay in if you choose. Come to me if you have any questions, I am leaving my book here for you if you wish to read it. We will have much to discuss later, I will meet with you again.” he says before turning on his heel and quickly walking out of the door. ‘I know we can trust them, but I have a feeling we need to stay quiet about the Moon Goddess, at least until we learn more about this pack.’ Mia says quietly before returning to silence. ‘I missed you too.’ I say before laying back down, as for some reason I am still tired. 

King Andrew POV

Everything about her is questionable and concerning. She seems to be of no threat, yet she exerts a powerful presence, to which even my own wolf wishes to submit to. She will be powerful soon it feels, yet her innocence is refreshing for someone who holds such a powerful presence. ‘Your son is in your office Sir.’ my guard informs me through the link as I round the corner, smiling softly at him. “Thank you.” I say as I open the door, my son smiling down at his phone. “Your skills are lacking son.” I say, causing him to jump and look to me. “I’m sorry dad, i was watching a youtube video.” he says as he stands to hug me. “What happened?” I ask sternly, preparing for the worst, “We made a multi-treaty and decided to end the meeting early father, all of the attending alphas were in agreement and instead of each individual pack signing and negotiating treaties, we all agreed to one treaty to form an alliance within us all.” Jax responds, smiling as he has in fact done well. “Good job son, this is a rare occurrence which we should celebrate. I will tell your mother to prepare a nice celebration for you this evening.” “Thank you dad. I should go see her now before she becomes angry.” he says causing me to chuckle. “You know her almost as well as myself, she is in the garden.” I say, dismissing him before sitting at my desk, looking over the surprisingly well thought out treaty. Once he finds his mate he will definitely become a great Alpha King.

Jax POV

I quickly jog down the stairs, knowing if mother finds out I am home and didn’t go to her first she will be furious. As I enter the garden I see my mother gardening, something we have done together since I was a small child. Bending down, I begin to plant the seeds she has set to the side as she creates small pockets for them to build their home of roots in. “I haven’t been back long, I just finished informing father of the successful meeting.” I say, placing another seed, “Good, I knew you would find a way. The rouge has finally woken, but decided to rest some more. Your father asked if you could keep your distance from the medical wing for now. We believe she will be shifting soon as her wolf has been making its presence more known and feels more powerful than even your father. He is concerned Dawson’s temper may cause her wolf to become aggressive as she is fearful and has already unknowingly challenged your father. I know you tend to do the opposite, but please follow his instructions.” she speaks softly, yet sternly. “Yes mother, I will. I have more training to do anyway as I have been slacking a bit while I was away.” I respond, setting the last seed in it’s future home. “Mom?” I say as I help her stand, “Yes my son?” she responds, brushing the dirt from her dress. “Dad sent me to investigate a house, and ever since I have been smelling my mate, but have yet to actually meet her. Is it strange for her smell to continue to linger?” I question her as she is one of the most knowing people in this pack on mate experiences. She tells everyone it is just knowledge but I firmly believe the Moon Goddess has blessed her to see the truth in mates.”I told you Jax, something great will happen soon. Don’t rush it, when it is time she will come to you. I’m not entirely sure why but I feel as if you will need to be patient with her as she will need your help and your loyalty.” she says, only confusing me even more.
