My name is Jax Tremblay, soon to be Alpha of the Moonfang pack. My father, the current Alpha and werewolf King, says I must find my mate before succeeding him, which is currently easier said than done. I have gone to every pack in this nation and the next and have yet to find her. My wolf, Dawson, says she is out there but I am losing hope every day. You see, werewolves have mates that the moon goddess blesses us with to complete us. Most find their mate within two years of turning eighteen, except for me, twenty-five and still no sign of my mate anywhere. "Jax! Pay attention in my class. Just because you are the star quarterback does not mean you can slack off in class." Mrs. Morrison says "My apologies ma'am." I reply as I hurry and scribble the notes into my notebook. 'We will find mate soon, trust me.' Dawson tells me before closing the connection. 'Thanks man, just tell me s**t and go ghost, does a lot of good.' I reply sarcastically knowing he isn't listening. Only ten more minutes before I'm out of this hell hole called college, thankfully practice was cancelled due to the storms coming in. School is important but it bores me, I would rather be home training than here. In order for me to become a worthy Alpha King I must surpass the warriors otherwise I will be seen as weak, not that I am, as it is I am stronger than our warriors but I refuse to slack off just because of my Alpha genes. The Moonfang pack is known for its strength and loyalty, as well as being home to my father, the werewolf King. I intend to continue that reputation, slacking off would not be in my best interest.
*BRRRIIIIINNNNGGGGGG* "Finally." I sigh as I rush to my motorcycle and roar it to life before speeding out. It doesn't take long to reach home, especially with my wolf abilities allowing me to speed the entire way without accident. "Dad I'm going to the training room." I announce as I go to my room and dress in my training shorts, "No you are not son, come to my office." I hear. I walk into his office and sit in the chair across from him, separated by only a document covered desk, "Yes Sir?" I question "I need you to run an errand in the human world for me, I am unable to because I have other duties at this moment." he says as he finishes signing the documents in his hands "What is this errand for? It is strange for you to send me on an errand to the human world." I question carefully, knowing my father, it serves me well to gauge his mood before smarting off, the last time I did that I had to train until midnight for a week.
"Son, there has been a lot going on the past five years that I have prevented the majority from being aware of. Eighteen years ago there was an attack on an allied pack, the only survivor was a young pregnant woman. She was not known to the other packs, and there was no documentation of her meaning she was most likely a human, prisoner, or she had not taken the oath. We have been searching for this woman since, and previous to the last five years we had found nothing. Five years ago a mother and daughter moved here and since that day high ranking members of the pack including myself have been receiving mindlinks from an unknown source, mostly nonsense until we figured out it was a code. The code translated to an address, I need you to go check it out." my father tells me "Yes Sir." I reply before turning and heading to my bedroom to change into my school uniform. Walking down the steps I hear my mother speaking with the maid, "Don't say anything, but something amazing will happen soon. Be prepared for a feast and ceremony when I call for you." she whispers.
“Jax!” I hear my mother call for me as I am walking into the garage. “Yes Mom?” I reply, quickly turning around to meet my mother. “Something special will come into your life soon son. It will be strange but you must accept it and protect it at all cost.” she says quietly, “What are you talking about Mom?” I question, curious as to where she got all of this information from, “Don’t ask questions, my boy, that I cannot answer. I have a feeling and as you know my feelings have never lead this pack or this family wrong.” she says sternly, giving me a glare as to challenge me to question her intuition again. “I am sorry mother I was not questioning your instincts, my curiosity got the best of me.” I say softly to her hugging her. I believe mom is pregnant again, I can't smell it just yet but I keep hearing faint heartbeats and her moods have been changing drastically. I don’t want to ruin my parents’ happy moment so I have yet to say anything to inform them of my suspicions. Dad has been stressed and overloaded with work, which is why I requested to train more and assist with more duties, so him sending me on this errand is an upgrade. I kiss my mom’s cheek before leaving, roaring my motorcycle, her name is Janet, to life. Speeding through the forest, I find a sense of peace, which has not come in a long time. My wolf has periods of nervous breakdowns for no known reason which has caused me a good amount of peace. With him calm and quiet for once, I slow to enjoy the peaceful ride enjoying the wind through my shoulder length dark brown hair. As I approach town I merge onto the main road as it would be extremely strange for me to ride through the forest to human standards. Now where the hell is this house? I think to myself before pulling onto a side road, hoping this is the correct one.
