Chapter 59: On my own

Genesis bearers the keys to overturn the world. The key to triggering another great cataclysm.

After meeting Noah in the white hellscape. I started researching about the Genesis bearers. I read books and learn that a great cataclysm happened 550 years ago. It’s a great flood similar to the stories in the time After death.

The great flood resets the world. After the flood, the creator appeared and give this world a new life. The creator gives the first hero an ability called magic. To help them in their daily lives but this magic is also becoming the root of evil. Magic is used in evil deeds and violence. The existence of Leveling, Skills, and Abilities was born.

People who thirst for power use their magic to step on others. People’s greed and selfishness birth chaos in this world. They are drowned by their power and forget the one who gave them this ability.

They forget about the creator.

As time passed, people started to think that they can live on their own and protect on their own. They refuse to believe in a creator.

The war using magic never ends. Demon King and Hero fight each other without a definite reason. Humans fight the demons because of the mere fact that they are demons. Demons fight because they have the enemy. The cycle of war keeps on.

And the terror of being caught in the war continues until this day.

“The demon and the humans will continue fighting because of the cycle of violence. Many people are affected by the war many people are getting killed, widowed wives, children losing a cheerful life they deserve.”

Just like Meily, without a war maybe she got a happy life and there’s a possibility that she is still alive until now. If monsters and demons didn’t exist there is no need to summon heroes in this world. Kaede doesn’t need to die, she will have a normal life as a high school girl.

While I’m sleeping in my bed.

A huge tragedy just happened. The demon king commander Drag already attacks with his dragonkin. The Fire dragon attacks the kingdom of Grandellia. Just in one day, thousands of people lost their lives.

Meanwhile, the heroes squads attack the demon king commander Ram. The demons also lost many of their troops.

The happening is just a cycle of violence. I’m not even given a decent role in this world. Genesis bearers like me aren’t reincarnated to save the world like the heroes. The genesis bearers are reincarnated in this world to overturn it.

To break the cycle.

I left a letter in my bed, it's a letter of farewell for Akane and the rest. It’s a short time but I really love the time I spend with Akane and the rest.

I don’t want them to get caught up anymore. In my own problem as the genesis bearer.

I will make my own journey and find my own answer.

I’m always thinking about increasing my level and stats. But in the end to us Genesis bearers that logic is not really applied.

One month later.

I set off on my own journey.

I’m currently standing in the lighthouse located in the Elesis fort. I came here because I found out that the next target for destruction is this city. The demon king commander drag already made his move and come here with his dragonkin.

The clear sky gotten dark little by little, Dark clouds started to whirl around. Thunder and lightning come falling.

Above the huge group of dragons are coming and in the middle of them is the fire dragon I wanted to defeat some time ago.

People in the Elesis fort started to notice the upcoming dragons.

“Mama look at those… Are those dragons?”

“What the hell is happening in this world?”

“Dragons are is about to attack the city!”

“Everyone run away and save your selves.”

“A huge group of dragons there’s no way we can defeat them. Dragons can fly and they are nearby. We’re all going to die here.”

Citizens of Elesis fort started running away to save themselves. Some lost their hope and just stare. Knights and adventurers come to rescue the people and others wanted to fight the dragons.

From afar… Dragons breathed fire and bombarded the city of Elesis fort.

Knights and adventurers that wanted to fight and those who come in front lines were killed immediately. They were blown away and drifted in the ground like falling leaves.

It’s weird. I don’t feel anything… these people help me before but my body didn’t even react to their death. All I did is stare at them coldly from the lighthouse.

“I, the demon king commander Drag will destroy all of you! This is a punishment from the true ruler of this world… Your lives will be sacrifice and it will serve as the symbol of our power.”

 The fire dragon then collects a huge amount of flame in his mouth and few moments he then blasted toward the lighthouse.

With my barrier magic, I was able to shield and defend myself.

Drag seeing someone stopped his attack, focuses his eye’s toward me whose just standing still on the roof.

I put my hands in front of me and cast my magic. Using wind magic. I was able to make a giant long sword. I flew toward the dragons with the longs wind sword in my hand. The giant wind sword in my hand extended and grow even bigger. The sword was so long it’s about the same length as the empire state building.

“A little girl?”

“Mayu?”

Rin said as she saw me.

“Ultimate wind magic: Giant wind sword of Sylph!”

I swing my sword horizontally and cut the dragons that passed my sword. I then swing back my sword and attack the other dragons. Only leaving the fire dragon. Drag expression was priceless. His terrified expression, the expression we’re he can’t believe that a little creature can wield such power.

“This can’t be… The demon king is the strongest.”

“Sorry but you’re life will serve as a symbol of my power.”

I said, followed by raising my sword in the sky. I look down at the fire dragon Drag with my glaring eyes. I swing my sword vertically slicing the fire dragon in half. The sea and sky were sliced in half because of the powerful force my sword created.

Rin and everyone in the Elesis fort were stunned after seeing my ability.

For now, own I will destroy those in my path.
