Chapter 20: First Mission

“Thank you, everyone, for the trust. I will try to do the best I can.” Christina smiled. Her calm expression made the Board of Directors and the whole Sales Department feel pretty surprised. Christina then used Latvian information to turn the blame on her. “The Human Resources Department will support the implementation immediately.” Fiona's gaze was enthusiastic. “Christina handled that very well. After receiving the document, the Sales Department will quickly report the progress to the Group!" Maikon smiled brightly at Christina. The Latvian's gaze poured fire on Christina. Everyone ended the meeting in high spirits, and Fiona told Maikon that she felt that Marcel's belief in Christina was highly accurate. Assistant Grego came out of the meeting room and immediately called the Salesroom to discuss the case file, but still did not forget to criticize Latvian's working attitude fiercely. That very day, shocking news broke out in the Morverick Company. After fighting a brutal fight that made the company's atmosphere more lively than usual, Christina received the Group's file with the minutes of the meeting. Immediately, she dived into the analysis. Initially, this file would be assigned to the Legal department. Still, Morverick Corporation wanted to handle it quickly, confidentially, and quietly, so it transferred it to the Sales department to collect data and settle all matters. Richard Mayer sued Morverick Corporation, whose subsidiary is Moonlander Limited Liability Company, and knowingly brokered the sale of a home without ensuring an investigation of ownership. By the time he signed a contract with Moonlander, depositing thirty percent of the total amount, a whole week later, the company had dissolved. Mr. Richard Mayer immediately went to find out, only to discover that the house he bought was in dispute and was about to be sealed. The situation pushed Mr. Richard Mayer at the risk of losing his deposit. Not knowing where to call for help, he finally decided to sue Morverick Corporation. Still, to three or four law offices, the law firm refused because the results were unsatisfactory, and Morverick Group itself was in the top four business groups. The largest economy in the country. Ultimately, Richard decided to take the case to the higher courts and used his relationship with the media to pressure the corporation. Christina checked the records, then personally searched for information on the real estate brokerage contracts of the Moonlander Company. Everything was smooth until nearly two months now, and the number of lawsuits against real estate sales has increased to dozens. Realizing something unusual, she immediately, based on the information on the records, called to meet with Mr. Richard Mayer to discuss the same day. “Hello, Director Richard. I am Christina from Morverick Company Sales, who will be in charge of your case.” Her voice was as careful as possible. “If it's just the same apology, I don't want to hear it anymore. Please don't waste my time. After all, you are just wage earners, so you can't solve anything." On the other hand, Director Richard had just heard about the 'Morverick company' and was enraged. “It would be fine if the director could help me a little.” Christina smiled. Before she went to see Mr. Richard, she took the initiative to contact all the plaintiffs in Moonlander's real estate sales lawsuits. She immediately discovered that they were both informed by a mysterious source of Moonlander's sophisticated tricks. Moonlander searched for a house under common ownership and then bribed the owners to sell the house and build a house. In the drama of the dispute, when there is a deposit, a percentage will be divided among the owners. The house does not lose but has more money, who is not greedy. But the plaintiffs did not know who the information was from. All were just messages from spam subscribers or virtual email addresses. But she was sure that with an expert like Mr. Richard Mayer, it was easy to grasp this source of information. “What do you mean?” Mr. Richard Mayer took a cup of iced coffee to his lips. “For the convenience of both parties and to settle your case soon. May I ask directly where the information about Moonlander's tricks came from, Director Richard Mayer?" Christina raised her glass of juice and took a sip. A small smile flickered across her lips. “Perhaps you have grasped it, too. I do know who the source is, but I can't dig it up any further, and I can't ask for help as a witness." Mr. Richard Mayer smiled and nodded, feeling focused on Christina. "Director Richard Mayer keeps saying. I'll find a way to do the math." Christina exudes overwhelming confidence. Director Richard Mayer took from his leather briefcase and placed on the table a document containing detailed information about Claudia Lander: “She is the former lover of the CEO of Morverick Corporation. This game… do you think it could be solved? The person I want to target is the Group CEO himself, not the disabled General Manager John.” “So it's her? Wasn't a knife stabbing my ex-lover to death?" Christina carefully took the document and read it carefully. “As far as I know, it's because of petty love affairs, but she only has such tricks. She doesn't dare to mess around anymore. I will wait and see how you make her stand as a witness to expose her lover." Mr. Richard Mayer's bitter smile appeared as his eyes followed a particular memory. "I'll find a way, Director Richard Mayer assured." Her heart began to have many conflicting thoughts. She gently put the file in her bag, showing a smile that made Mr. Richard Mayer has little confidence. She took the opportunity to use clever words to ask Mr. Richard Mayer does not blame Morverick Corporation for making it difficult to compensate. Christina also personally admitted her mistake. Mr. Richard Mayer laughed happily, happily letting go of the story. She paused by the cafe door, peering once more at the Claudia Lander file. When Christina returned to the office, everyone was out of work. She turned on the light, and the computer continued its journey of collecting evidence. The interwoven arguments made her confused. She tried to retrace each piece of information, each trace on the cold, white profile pages. There was a knock on the door. From outside, Maikon entered, carrying a large food bag and two glasses of soft drink. Initially, Maikon and Fiona had returned. When they got to the car, they saw that the lights in Christina's office were still on, so they silently went to buy two large servings of fried chicken. Both of them learned that her first day at work was quite stressful. When Maikon and Fiona entered the sales department, Christina was quite surprised. She looked at the two and then stood up and bowed. Maikon smiled and motioned for her to come closer, and the three of them sat down to eat fried chicken. Maikon saw that Christina was still shy, so she began to speak to reassure her: "Time is up. Think of Fiona and me as two normal old grandparents.” Christina smiled. Maikon said that Marcel asked him and Fiona to stay at the company to guide Christina before going on a business trip because it was supposed to be done by Marcel. Fiona said she was also quite surprised that Marcel decided to hand over Morverick Corporation's files with Director Richard to Christina. But her task was just to gather and add enough information to wait until Marcel returned. Then it will be received and resolved. Maikon said this is a somewhat troublesome case because the Group does not want to make these things public. Fiona also told Christina that although the file is directly related to Moonlander Company - a Group subsidiary, the Group President has assigned it to our Company to ensure the most objectivity. Christina nodded and asked both of them: “If so, then we have to talk about Claudia Lander - she was the CEO of Moonlander Company and the former lover of the Group CEO - Christopher Morverick. I feel this has something to do with her.” “Claudia Lander? How do you know about her?" Fiona looked at Christina in amazement. Maikon looked at Fiona and then told Christina that it was as she said. Claudia remained the CEO of Moonlander until she fell into a relationship with Christopher Morverick. He bought the company, Moonlander, and kicked her out of the CEO position and his lover position. Fiona sighed: “Morverick men are all assholes. It's only a pity that they are the ones who give me my monthly salary. If not… then they probably won't be able to live with me either.” Christina followed Fiona's instructions, and Maikon reported everything to Sales Manager Marcel for clarification. Immediately, an email from Marcel was sent to Christina with great praise. He instructed her to send her resume to the email address and continue to perform as an intern under the guidance of Assistant Grego. The rest, wait for him to come back, and then he will handle it. Christina was overjoyed. She shares the news with Fiona and Maikon. Both congratulated Christina on successfully completing her first assignment. However, Christina Hanson did not know that a Latvian overheard her conversation with the two directors. She was extremely angry, and the fire of jealousy also ignited from there.
