Episode 10: The Drama Club Disaster

1466 Words
‎Cassie woke up to her alarm blaring and immediately groaned. Her bed felt like a trap, her hair was sticking out in every direction, and her cat was pawing at her face, demanding breakfast. “Why does every morning start with chaos?” she muttered. ‎ ‎Breakfast was predictably messy. Cassie tried pouring cereal into a bowl, but the bag tore, and flakes scattered across the counter. Her cat leapt onto the chaos, knocking over a glass of milk. Cassie groaned. “Of course you love chaos more than I do.” ‎ ‎She grabbed a granola bar, slung her backpack over her shoulder, and ran out the door. Harmony High was already buzzing with students, excited about the upcoming Drama Club rehearsal. Cassie sighed. Drama Club was her favorite, but she always seemed to bring chaos wherever she went. ‎ ‎She entered the classroom, already crowded with students preparing props, costumes, and scripts. Liam was there too, quietly adjusting his costume. “Ready for another disaster?” he asked, smirking. ‎ ‎Cassie groaned. “Doesn’t matter… chaos follows me everywhere anyway.” ‎ ‎“Then I’ll stick by your side,” Liam said softly. “Like always.” ‎ ‎Cassie felt her cheeks warm. Somehow, Liam’s calm presence always made her feel braver. ‎ ‎The rehearsal began, and Cassie’s group was performing a comedic scene that required props, dramatic gestures, and over-the-top acting. Cassie’s first line involved tossing a fake pie to a classmate—but of course, she misjudged and it flew across the room, landing on the teacher’s desk. ‎ ‎“Cassie Price!” Ms. Novak exclaimed. ‎ ‎“I… I’m fine!” Cassie said, blushing, trying to pick up the pie without slipping on the mess. ‎ ‎Liam, standing nearby, whispered, “You’ll be fine. Just embrace the chaos.” ‎ ‎Cassie nodded, feeling reassured. Somehow, just hearing him say that calmed her nerves. ‎ ‎The rehearsal continued, filled with minor mishaps: props falling, lines forgotten, and dramatic falls. Cassie tripped over a stage rope and nearly collided with Liam, but he caught her effortlessly. ‎ ‎“You okay?” he asked. ‎ ‎“Yes… mostly,” she said, laughing. ‎ ‎“You’re impossible,” he said, shaking his head. ‎ ‎“And you stick with me anyway,” Cassie teased. ‎ ‎Liam smiled softly. “I like it.” ‎ ‎By the end of rehearsal, Cassie’s group had completed the scene, messy props, dramatic stumbles, and all. The teacher clapped, trying not to laugh too hard. “You may be chaotic, Cassie, but your energy is… entertaining.” ‎ ‎Cassie grinned. “I’ll take that as a compliment.” ‎ ‎After rehearsal, students gathered outside, chatting about the funny mishaps. Cassie and Liam walked together down the hallway, dodging scattered props and laughing students. ‎ ‎“You really make chaos kind of fun,” Liam said casually. ‎ ‎Cassie laughed. “Fun? I nearly knocked over the whole stage!” ‎ ‎“Exactly,” he said, smirking. “But you survived with style.” ‎ ‎Her cheeks heated. “I guess style counts for something,” she admitted quietly. ‎ ‎“You were amazing,” he said softly. “And honestly… I like watching you handle it all.” ‎ ‎Cassie’s heart fluttered. “I… I like it too,” she whispered. ‎ ‎As they reached her street, Cassie paused, reluctant to say goodbye. Liam noticed and smiled gently. ‎ ‎“See you tomorrow?” he asked. ‎ ‎“Definitely,” she said, smiling back. Her heart felt full, light, and giddy. ‎ ‎Cassie waved goodbye at her gate and stepped inside her house, flopping onto her bed. Her cat jumped onto her lap, meowing as if asking what she had been doing all day. Cassie stroked its fur, thinking about the Drama Club rehearsal, scattered props, and Liam’s calm presence through it all. ‎ ‎A smile spread across her face. Chaos might follow her everywhere—from thrown pies to tripping over ropes—but with Liam by her side, even disasters were fun, exciting, and maybe even sweet. ‎ ‎Tomorrow promised new adventures, more mishaps, and more moments that made her heart race. And somehow, she knew that no matter how chaotic life got, she would always find joy in it… especially with him around. ‎ ‎After Drama Club rehearsal, the hallways of Harmony High were filled with students chatting, laughing, and carrying props and costumes. Cassie clutched her backpack tightly, trying not to add to the chaos of the corridor. Her hair was messy from the rehearsal, and her uniform had tiny streaks of stage makeup. Perfectly chaotic. ‎ ‎“Long day?” Liam asked, appearing beside her effortlessly. ‎ ‎“You could say that,” Cassie admitted, laughing. “I think I’ve officially reached maximum chaos capacity.” ‎ ‎“Maximum chaos capacity?” he repeated, smirking. “You’re impossible.” ‎ ‎Cassie groaned. “Apparently.” ‎ ‎“You make it fun,” Liam said softly. “That counts for something, right?” ‎ ‎Cassie felt her cheeks warm. Somehow, everything seemed less stressful with Liam around. Even disasters felt exciting and… maybe even magical. ‎ ‎As they walked toward the exit, a group of younger students ran past, laughing and bumping into others. One tripped over a stray stage prop, sending a costume piece flying across the hallway. Cassie instinctively ducked but still managed to kick a prop hat, sending it spinning like a frisbee. ‎ ‎“You’re a disaster magnet,” Liam teased, catching the spinning hat before it hit anyone. ‎ ‎“And you stick with me anyway,” Cassie said, laughing. ‎ ‎“I don’t mind,” he replied softly, handing the hat back. ‎ ‎The hallway continued to erupt in chaos. Another student spilled glitter across the floor, creating a sparkling hazard. Cassie stepped carefully, almost slipping, but Liam grabbed her hand, steadying her. ‎ ‎“You okay?” he asked. ‎ ‎“Yes… mostly,” she said, laughing. “Why does chaos always follow me?” ‎ ‎“Because it loves you,” he teased. ‎ ‎Cassie rolled her eyes but couldn’t stop smiling. Somehow, Liam made her mishaps feel less scary and more exciting. ‎ ‎They finally made it to the school gates, where the late afternoon sun bathed the neighborhood in golden light. Cassie felt exhausted but happy. Chaos had followed her all day—from cafeteria spills to Drama Club mishaps to flying costume pieces—but somehow, it had been one of the best days ever. ‎ ‎“You make chaos kind of fun,” Liam said, nudging her lightly. ‎ ‎Cassie laughed. “Fun? I nearly knocked over the entire stage today!” ‎ ‎“Exactly,” he said, smirking. ‎ ‎They reached her street. Cassie paused, reluctant to say goodbye. Liam noticed and smiled gently. ‎ ‎“See you tomorrow?” he asked. ‎ ‎“Definitely,” she said, smiling back. Somehow, she knew that no matter how chaotic life got, she would always find joy in it… especially with him around. ‎ ‎Because even when chaos ruled the day, laughter, friendship, and a little hint of romance made everything worth it. ‎ ‎Cassie closed her eyes, feeling exhausted but happy. She couldn’t wait for tomorrow—more chaos, more laughter, more adventures, and, of course, more moments with Liam. ‎
