I quickly turned around without making any noise or sound. I didn't leave any hint that I was there, I didn't even breathe. I sucked in a sharp breath as I ran deeper into the hallway, away from the scene I just witnessed, away from my crumbling dreams of love, away from the pathetic desire to love again, away from my stupid self who once again yearned of love, away from the girl I gave my heart to who was already someone else's.
I ran away again like some pathetic bastard, like a loser who I always had been. I didn't realise when tears started dripping down my face and everything was a mess. Since when no why? Why couldn't I understand it sooner that she never ever saw me as a man/ She only perceived me as a friend and whenever she cheered me on for the girl I liked...she was sincere.
