Chapter 5: Trouble on the Horizon

Unknown POV:

    I stood off the the side watching as the prince and his mate went on a run with the other ranked wolves and all I could do was sneer at the look of happiness that they all had. As they all were enjoying a happy luxury life, I am forced to live life as a rogue. All because of the fact that I assisted in the death of the male beta all those years ago. The rogue group that attempted to kidnap the princess and the female beta made the mistake of going to the side of the territory where the male beta was running patrol. To save their skins some of the rogues that had escaped before the female beta went on her rampage gave me up as the one that sent them to do it, therefore here I am with the most worthless mate in the world and a rogue.

    I found myself following them everyday trying to find a way to make the prince pay for banishing me from the pack, and here it is just shining right in front of me. The new luna princess would be the best way for me to make that i***t prince pay for all that he has done to me. All I needed to do now is figure out how I am going to get her alone. Pulling out my phone I dialed the only person I knew would help me more then anyone in the whole world. 

"Hey I need you to do me a favor......Yes I will give you all of those things when the job is done........Ok here is what I need you to do....."

Crystal POV:

    After we all got back from our run I have to say that I feel a whole lot better then I had earlier. Knowing that I had a wonderful mate and my brother to always be there for me seemed to make everything so much better. I look over at Apollo and see him looking at me with a look that was so full of wonder and love. c*****g my head I asked him what was on his mind.

"In all honesty I was wondering what I did in my past life to get mated to one of the most beautiful she-wolves in the world." He answered as he took me into his arms, "Also I was wondering if maybe you wanted to go with the girls on their shopping trip that they wanted to go on after lunch. It will just be you, my sister, Becca and Bella. I wanted to talk to Steel and Kaylee about a few things that have to do with the pack and our human world businesses. I am thinking that we are going to be in my office for a good amount of the afternoon and evening and I don't want to leave you lonely."

    I looked over to where the girls were standing with bated breathes as if they were waiting for a huge hammer to drop and ruin their fun. I looked back at Pollo and smiled, "Sure I would love to join them for that trip. Plus I could use some more leather clothes that I am sure you will love. Plus I need a new phone so that whenever I go off on my own you guys have a way to reach me." Reaching up on my tippy toes, I gave him a kiss on the lips and hugged him tight.

    Turning to the girls, who were giggling behind us, I said "Alright ladies lets go eat and then get ready. That mall won't know what hit them. Oh and I am going to ride my bike. I don't do cars so if someone wants to come on the bike with me they can." 

    With that last part, Kairi looked like a little kid that was lead into a candy shop and was told to get whatever she wanted. " I want to go with you!!! I have always wanted to go on a motorcycle but my parents are always so protective and won't let me. Oh please please please can I be the one to go with you?!?" After receiving a nod from me, she squealed and then gave me a hug. Grabbing my hand she started to pull me towards the dining room and sat me down next to her. Chuckling Apollo sat across from me and linked me, "Oh are you in for it now." Smiling at him I accepted the plate of food that was being given to me by someone and started to dig in. Shopping here we come....oh boy.

One hour later

    We finally made it to the mall and let me tell you, this thing is enormous. I am pretty sure that if I didn't have the girls with me, I would get lost in this place. Looking over at Kairi, wondering how I got myself in this mess. I don't even like shopping but here I am. Oh well. All I can say is leather here I come. 

    Seeing that the others had arrived we all headed into the mall and decided to go our separate ways since we all had different tastes in clothes. After telling me that all of the really good leather clothes could be found over in a new store that I had never heard of, Kairi and the others headed over to Forever 21. 

    I took the escalator up to the second level and found the store right away. It was a place called Leathermore and let me tell you that it was my paradise. Looking around I found everything that I wanted all the way from tank tops to leggings. After making my purchases I headed down to Victoria Secret to get some underwear and bed clothes. Upon entering I saw the girls had beat me here and were waiting for me. We all shopped and joked until we were ready to drop. As we were starting to leave I needed to use the bathroom and bad, so I asked them to take my stuff for me and not wait for me. 

"Are you sure you don't want us to wait. We don't mind waiting," Becca asked me with a frown on her face.

"No you guys go ahead. I forgot to get my new phone and I need to go to the bathroom. I'll be fine, don't worry I can protect myself." With that I headed over to Metro and got me the new Samsung Galaxy phone. I had already backed up all of my contacts on my old phone before we came to the mall so I already had Apollo's number in my phone. Luckily there was a bathroom right next to the Metro store so I quickly headed in there. Before I left the bathroom I placed my phone in the hidden pocket of my leggings that I was wearing. 

    This certain pair of leggings that I was wearing were actually a gift from one of our family friends that happens to be a witch. Knowing that I was a warrior at heart and that I have a tendency to get myself in trouble, she put a hidden pocket in the leggings that can't be felt even if I was searched vigorously. Placing my phone in this pocket, I stopped at the sink and started to wash my hands and my face. While washing my face, I felt a presence behind me. Reaching for a paper towel to dry my face, I prepared myself to beat the heck out of anyone that was here to give me trouble. 

    As I finished drying my face I turn to the person standing behind me only to see an unfamiliar guy standing there smirking like he knew a joke that I didn't. Staring back at him I opened my mouth to ask him if he was lost cause he is in the women's bathroom when I felt a slight pinch on my neck from where someone injected me with a syringe. 

"Well looky here boys we got ourself a bona fide luna queen all by herself. Wonder how good old Apollo is going to react when you don't come back to the castle, little lady. Well his lose. You are mine to torture now." 

With that my world just suddenly went dark and I fell into a dark abyss.

Apollo POV:

    Steel, Kaylee and I finally finished our meeting at the same time that the girls finally came home from their shopping trip at the mall. As I watched Kairi, Bella and Becca all shuffle in with all of their bags, I noticed that some of the bags that they were carrying were Crystal's but she wasn't with them.

"Kairi where is Crystal? Didn't you ride on her motorcycle with her?" I asked when I noticed that neither my mate nor her bike were with the girls in the front of the castle.

"Yes I did ride TO the mall with her on her bike, but when the rest of us were ready to leave she needed to use the bathroom and she remembered the main reason that she went with us was that she wanted to get a new phone. She told us to go ahead and head home and that she would be right behind after she was done with what she needed to do." Kairi answered while handing me all of my angel's bags, "Don't worry bro, she can take care of herself ok. Your mate is one badass woman and I feel sorry for anyone who wants to mess with her." 

    Nodding at what my sister said, I looked over at Steel and knew that something was wrong. I walked over to where he was standing and stood next to him.

"What's up Steel?" I asked him as I looked at the frown that was on his face.

"If that was all that my sister needed to do at the mall, then she would have been back by now," He said in a grave tone, "In fact, knowing how my sister rides her bike, she would have been the first one back before all of the other girls. Something is wrong Apollo. I have this bad feeling that my sister is in trouble and that she needs us." 

Nodding I call Kaylee over to where we were. "Kaylee do me a favor and hold down the fort for a bit ok. Steel and I are going to the mall to see where Crystal is. Here put these bags in my room for me. We will be back soon" 

"Sure thing boss." Kaylee said while taking all of Crystal's bags from me to take them up to our room. 

"Hey Apollo do you know how to ride an motorcycle?" Steel asked me as he rolled his bike out and started to put on his helmet. 

"Ya I do. Funny enough I actually own the same exact bike as your sister only mine is blood red." I answered him sheepishly. Steel chuckled and then motioned for me to hop on his bike. Quickly grabbing my helmet from off of my bike, I slid in behind Steel and then we took off.

30 Minutes later

    As we approached the spot where the girls had said that they had parked, I knew for a fact that something bad had happened to my Angel. Sitting right in the spot that the girls said that they had left it was Crystal's hot pink bike with a piece of paper and the keys attached to it. 

    Hopping off of Steel's bike, I carefully walked all around the bike to make sure that there weren't any booby traps connected to it. Once we were certain there weren't any, Steel walked up to the bike to see if it had been tampered with in anyway that would hurt us. He even looked and smelled the gas tank to make sure that no one had tried to gum it up. Finding that the bike was still in pristine condition we walk up to where the note is and picked it up.

    What I read on there made me so pissed. How could that traitor even think for a second that he was going to get away with this. Handing the note over to Steel, I prepared myself to restrain him if need be. Sure enough as soon as he read what was written on the note, Steel started to shifted and was growling up a storm. This is his little sister and his future queen and she was in danger because of some lunatic's delusions that I had wronged him. Steel started to punch the brick wall that was right next to us and I knew that I needed to stop him before some human could see him all wolfed out. 

"STEEL! HEY STEEL, LOOK AT ME! WE WILL FIND HER OK! Calm down buddy ok. We will find her ok and when we do we are going to make that asshole pay with his life ok." As he started to calm down, Steel started to cry and all I could do was hold him in one arm and hold the note in my other hand. Finally calm, Steel looked at me with a look of realization in his eyes, "Apollo do you remember what kind of pants that my sister was wearing when she left with the girls earlier?" Looking at him with a strange look I nodded and answered, "Yes she was wearing the hot pink leather skirt and leggings set that had unicorn heads on them, why do you ask?" 

Grinning like a damn fool Steel answered with something that blew my mind, "I knew it! Whenever Crystal goes out to a place with no guards around her, she will wear those pants because a family friend who is a witch enchanted them for her. There is a hidden pocket that no matter how many times you search her, whatever she places in that pocket can not be found. Ever since she got those pants, whenever she went out by herself she would hide her phone there so that if she was ever in trouble she would have a way to call for help. The pocket is also sound proof so if we called, her captor wouldn't hear it." Smiling I knew exactly what he had in mind. Taking out my phone I pulled up Crystal's number and sent her a simple message, "We are coming. Hang in there. I love you." With that Steel and I looked at the note one more time and then we got on the bikes and headed home. Look out Kaidon, you bit off more then you could chew this time buddy.

The Note

Hey there Apollo I have your mate. I think I am going to destroy her in all different ways. You think you can banish me well think again. She is mine now and there is nothing you can do. Good luck buddy. Kaidon
