Chapter 8: Prophecy Explained Properly

Apollo POV: 

    The battle with Kaidon was finally done, but hearing that his mate was still in my pack had me worried. However at this time I didn't have the time to worry about it. My angel was in her brother's arms and my wolf and I needed her to be in ours. Throwing on a pair of shorts on I head over to Steel and take Crystal from him. As soon as she was in my arms, she started crying into my chest. Just then I realized that both her and I had taken control of our elements and she must be about ready to have a panic attack. She quickly turned and asked her father for permission for all of us to enter his land as we had many who were in need of medical attention and we were all too tired to make it back home. John quickly granted permission and even informed all of my warriors and all of our new allies that there were some bunk houses that they could utilize during their stay. 

    As we were all being lead to the pack house, I looked down and noticed that Crystal was starting to lose consciousness. I started to panic and started to call out to her and begging her to keep her eyes open. Looking over at Steel, I could feel the tears start to fall down my face once again. Steel seeing that his sister had lost consciousness quickly guided me over to the packs infirmary making sure to clear the path as fast as he could. As soon as the head doctor saw who I was carrying, she directed me to one of the biggest rooms that were away from all of the other rooms. She called out for a person named Connor to get over here and help us out and then headed to help a warrior who needed some serious surgery. 

    Out of all of the chaos ran a tall human who took one look at my mate and started listing all of the things that he needed to a young lady who looked just like him. Walking over he started to do all of the things that a doctor does to check a patient and I started to growl at him. He quickly looked at me a said, "Apollo, calm down please. I am Connor and I am the person who had treated your mate when she was being held by that lunatic. I was the one that got her out of there so she could come back to you." Sighing and looking at my mates back, he solemnly continued, "I am pretty sure she had a full blown panic attack. That combined with the fact that she has torn some of the stitches that I had to place in her back after she was whipped by Kaidon, has her wolf placing her in an unconscious state so that she can heal her. My sister Amelia is on her way to get me everything that I need so I can restitch up her back and to help her heal. OK? She is safe now." 

    Upon hearing that he was the one that had helped and protected my mate, I not only allowed him to help her but also made sure to thank him. His sister Amelia came back into the room with all of the supplies that he needed and he quickly set to work taking care of Crystal. "And done. There you are Apollo. Give her a day or 2 and she should be as good as new again." Looking up all I could do is nod. Standing up I reached over and gave both Connor and Amelia hugs to thank them for all that they have done for my mate when I heard a growl at the door. Turning around I noticed that it was Kaylee and she was growling at me and glaring at my arm that was around Connor. Quickly pulling away from Connor and pulling Amelia with me, I watched as Kay walked straight up to Connor and say something we all didn't expect her to say ever again in her life, "Mate! Mine!"

Kaylee POV: 

    The battle was over much more quickly then any of us thought it would be. As it ended I started to catch a scent that had me and Rivera, my wolf, drooling with lust. It was a strong scent that made me think of my favorite bubble bath, strawberries and mint. As I started to follow the scent, I noticed that it started to lead me to the infirmary, more specifically to the room where the future queen was taken after she passed out. I reached the door and saw that Apollo was hugging a male and female that looked alike. Sniffing the air I realized that the smell was coming from the male. He was my second chance mate and he was being hugged by my king. 

    A growl slipped from my mouth and Apollo looked up to see me in the doorway. He quickly released my mate and pulled the girl back with him. My mate looked at me with so much confidence that made me so proud. I walked up to him and said, "Mate! Mine!" and wrapped my arms around him. He looked down at me cause even as a human he was taller then I was. He wrapped his arms around me and pulled me into him.

"Well hello beautiful," He said in his soft voice that brought shivers running down my spine, "And what might the name be for this beauty who is mated to this here human?" I looked at him and answered, "My name is Kaylee. What is your name and how old are you my dear?" 

"My name is Connor and I am 23. I was born into a human family that at one point had a werewolf ancestor. Over the decades we started having less and less werewolves in our family line. The very last one is actually my little sister over there. Meli come here its ok." He said as he turned to his little sister. She walked over and stood in front of all of us. She had a really shy look on her face and was kind of scared. "Hi I'm Amelia but you guys can call me Meli. I am 17 years old and had my first shift last year and that is how Kaidon found us. Not long after I went though my first shift, my father and us were having dinner when Kaidon and one of his wolves came barging into our home. Kaidon killed our father and was about to kill me when the other wolf stood in front of me keeping him from killing me. He was my mate." 

    Suddenly we all hear a voice behind us, "The guard outside of my cell, he is your mate isn't he?" We all turn around to see Crystal sitting up in the bed. Meli looked at Crystal with wide eyes, "How did you know? Yes he is. That is why he was so willing to help us get you out of there. He wanted to make sure that I could be safe again and he knew that the only way for that to happen was for you to be free and with the prince. Oh Crystal are you ok? I can't lose someone else that I care about. I lost my father and mother. If I were to lose you, Connor or Adam, I don't think I could live at all. And.....and...and" 

"I'm ok, Meli. You can't get rid of me that easily. I'm one tough wolf." Crystal looked at me and Connor and started to chuckle, "Well Connor, it looks like you were meant to be there for me. I see you are Kaylee's second chance mate. Pollo would it be ok with you if we give Kaylee permission to give him the bite so he can join his sister in the ranks of werewolves. He is meant to be here and he has earned it more then anyone I have ever met." 

We all held our breath as we waited for Apollo's answer. He looked at his mate and then at all of us, with a knowing look on his face. "Of course you have permission Kaylee. My angel is right, if anyone deserves to receive the bite, it is the doctor who saved a lot of lives by saving a queen." 

Just then a male came swiftly walking up to the room. Meli squealed and ran into this male's arms. "Adam you are ok. Oh thank the Goddess I thought I lost you!" Smiling Adam wrapped his arms around his mate and held her close, "Oh nugget, of course I am ok. It would take nothing short of hell fire to keep me away from you." Looking up he introduced himself properly to the rest of us, "Hi everyone my name is Adam Quiero and I am this here little nugget's mate. My queen, I am really glad to see that you are safe and sound with your king. My king, I not only came here to get my mate but I also came to offer myself as a member of your guard within your pack." 

Apollo POV:

Nodding at Adam I answered him, "Of course Adam. My guard would be proud to take you as one of our personal body guards. In fact how about this from now on you will be the personal bodyguard of my queen whenever her brother and I are not available or whenever she deems you needed." Adam's face lit up and the smile he gave me was worth it, "Of course, it would be an honor sir. Thank you. Now if you will excuse me, I am going to steal my mate and go get some rest sir." With a nod both Adam and Meli took off. Connor turned to my mate and started to check all of her vitals and all of her wounds. "Well my dear looks like you are a faster healer then I thought you were. You are all cleared to leave with you mate and go spend time with your family. As for me, I have a bite to receive from my beautiful mate and some alone time is required." With that he and Kaylee took off.

    I turned to me angel and reached out to help her off of the bed. Pulling her in, I wrapped her up in my arms and kissed her forehead. "Oh angel, you just had to go and stay behind without a guard didn't you," I said into her hair as we stood there just holding each other. I looked down to see that there were tears in her eyes. "I am so sorry Pollo. I forgot to get my new phone and I had to use the bathroom and I didn't want the girls to wait too long. I have a tendency to take forever picking out a new phone and I didn't think that anyone would even think of attacking me...and.....and.....and I am so sorry!" 

She started crying and all I could do was hold her until she was done knowing that this was well needed. As her sobbes started to slow down I lifted her face and wiped the tears away from her face. "Oh angel you have nothing to apologize for. I am proud of you. You brought us new allies and you killed a huge thorn in our side now come on. Let's go see your family." 

Crystal POV:

Pollo and I left the infirmary and headed over to the pack house. As we walked in I was hit by a little torpedo. Looking down I saw the shining face of Godric and I leaned down with arms wide open and he leapt into them right away. "Well hello there little brother. Did you miss me at all?" I asked him as I started tickling him. Godric started laughing and tried to tickle me back. "Crystal, I missed you so much. It's no fun here without you and Steel. When are you coming home?" 

"I'm so sorry little man but unfortunatly I don't think I can let your sister go." Pollo said as he stood there watching our interaction. Godric looked over at Apollo and then he looked over at me, "Hey Crystal, isn't that Prince Apollo? Is he your mate sissy? Well is he......is he?" Grinning I nodded and Godric started smiling.

"Oh boy wait until Ray-Ray finds out that you are the next queen! I swear she is gonna blow a gasket...."

"Who is gonna blow a gasket?" Just then Raylynn came walking up. She quickly stopped when she saw Apollo standing right next to me. "Oh my goddess, Prince Apollo.....here in our house.....CRYSTAL WHY ARE YOU JUST LETTING THE PRINCE STAND THERE WHEN HE SHOULD BE COMFORTABLE! Put Godric down and show him to the living room and.........."

"Ya I am gonna just stop you there Raylynn. First off no I will not put my little brother down because I missed him. Second off I am not your servant so don't go commanding me to do whatever you want," I looked over at my sister and saw that she was eye f*****g my mate, "And third off stop eye f*****g my mate before I rip your eyes out of your head. Now where is dad and Steel? We would like to talk to them."

Raylynn's head snapped up and she looked at me with a shocked look, "Your mate...wait you are the next queen.....um....oh so sorry. Um....dad and Steel are up in dad's office waiting for you. I'll just be on my way then." With that she headed off to the kitchen where I knew my mother was so she could tell on me. I grabbed Apollo's hand and started leading him to my father's office. On our way we dropped Godric off at his room with a promise to come play with him later. As we entered the office I noticed that our family witch friend, Alice, standing in the office as well. Squealing I ran up to Alice and grabbed her into a huge hug. Alice hugged me back while chuckling, "Well hello to you too little wolf. It is so good to see you again I missed you so much." 

"Oh Alice! I have missed you so much. Hey you know those pants you made for me? Ya well they saved my life. I love them so much not to mention I think I am going to be needing some more of those." Alice looked amused at me and nodded," Of course you will little wolf. Not just you though. I made some for you, your brother and your mate here cause all of you never know when you might need them now that the prophecy is starting to come to pass."

We all looked up at Alice like she had grown another head and 2 more sets of arms. "The prophecy is coming to pass? What do you mean Alice?" 

Alice looked at my father and nodded, "I need all of you to bring in all of your mates if they are not here and anyone that you trust with this information. It is time to properly tell you the whole prophecy and what it means for all of you." 

----An hour later-----

We all shuffled into one of the bigger conference rooms that we have in the pack house. Everyone that we trust or will need for this time were here. It was all of the people in our inner circle: My father and mother, Apollo's mother and father, Kairi, Kaylee, Connor, Meli, Adam, Steel, Bella, Izzy, Raylynn, me and Apollo. Alice brought her father, Fredrick who was the first wizard that was able to read the old language that the prophecy was written in.

My father went to the head of the table and hit the button that locked the room from the inside and made the room completely soundproof. Nodding to Alice, she motioned all of us to take a seat. 

"As all of you know, there is a prophecy stating that the next elemental king and queen will be faced with a battle that will bring all of the supernatural species together as one kingdom. However there is so much more to it then that. Father can you please read the entire prophecy to everyone that is here?"

Nodding Fredrick stood up and started quoting the prophecy:

"These here are the words straight from the Goddess herself:

When the time comes when I see that all of my creatures need to be reunited

I will send the strongest elemental queen and king of all

after the betrayal of one who thinks they have been hurt

they will have full control of their elemental powers

the trials will very and the next will be worst then the last

first will come the wolf who thinks they are the one who deserves

next will come the fairy who thinks they were wronged 

followed by the vampire who was turned against their will

next the spell caster from the very beginning

next the human who was thought to be dead

followed by the siren who is banished and friendless

next the dragon who has lost its way

and finally the demon who only wants to help and be loved 

through all of these trials they will grow or fall, 

lead or follow, work together or reject

In the end they will triumph and lead the world into an age of acceptance and love

Their child will be the first elemental that will be born with their supernatural being

From the end of the fight to the end of the world all being will be born with their supernatural beings already within them

May the trials begin"

Fredrick sat down and there was a deafening silence that flooded the entire room. I looked around at everyone and then started to speak for all of us, "Well the one that thinks that they have been hurt must have been Kaidon. His betrayal of the pack and the kidnapping of me, must be the wolf who believed that they were hurt. I am thinking that the one that thinks that they are deserving is his mate that thinks that she deserves to be Apollo's mate. If only we knew who she is so we can deal with her." 

Connor looked up and then looks at Adam, "I think we may know who it may be. Kaidon was constantly talking about some girl named Micala and how much he missed her......" Upon hearing that name Apollo took in a sharp breath and all of the girls looked at each other with a look that said it all. I looked at Apollo and waited for him to explain.

Apollo looked at me and started to explain, "Micala was my ex who was so obsessed with being queen. When it got to the point that she started threatening my sister and the girls, I broke things off and made it my personal mission to stay away from her. Around the time when Kaylee's first mate was killed, I started to notice that she was leaving me alone so I figured that she finally found her mate and that she would leave me alone. Not even 2 days after Kaidon was banished from the pack, she started showing up again trying to get my attention. I think you are right angel, I think she is the wolf who thinks they are deserving and I think this one is my trial." I looked around at everyone and then back at Apollo.

"No Pollo, it isn't just your trial. We are all in this together and I refuse to have it any other way. So here is the plan. I think it is time for you to announce your mate and future luna queen to the world." I said with a devious smirk on my face. 

"Uh oh Apollo look out my sister has a plan that is going to get her into a lot of trouble," Steel says when he sees the smile that is on my face. I started laughing cause I can see that he had the exact same devious smile on his face. He knows exactly what is going through my head and is ready for the fun that is going to come with it.
