But another part of her was frozen in fear, unsure of the consequences of her actions. Tyson, oblivious to the tension, wrapped his arm around her waist, pulling her close. "My beautiful wife," he whispered, his voice dripping with possessiveness. Marie felt a shiver run down her spine as she tried to smile, her eyes still locked on Drake. She knew she had to be careful, that one wrong move could ruin everything. But as she looked into Drake's eyes, she saw something there that gave her hope. A spark of recognition, a glimmer of understanding. And in that moment, Marie knew that she wasn't alone. That there was someone out there who saw her, who understood her. The question was, what would he do about it? As the night wore on, Marie found herself constantly looking for Drake in the crowd. She couldn't believe he was here, at her wedding, and she couldn't help but wonder why. Tyson, sensing her distraction, tightened his grip on her hand. "What's wrong, my dear?" he asked, his voice low and menacing. Marie forced a smile, trying to reassure him. "Nothing, just a little overwhelmed," she said, trying to sound convincing. But Tyson's eyes narrowed, his gaze scanning the room as if searching for something. Or someone. Marie's heart skipped a beat as she realized he might have seen Drake too. She knew she had to be careful, that one wrong move could ruin everything. Just then, the music started, and Tyson pulled her onto the dance floor. Marie went through the motions, her eyes scanning the crowd for Drake. And then, she saw him. Standing by the bar, his eyes locked on hers with an intensity that made her heart race. Marie felt a surge of emotions, unsure of what to do or say. But as she looked into Drake's eyes, she knew she had to make a choice. As the music swirled around her, Marie felt herself being pulled towards Drake. She knew it was wrong, that she was married now, but she couldn't help the way she felt. Tyson, sensing her distraction, spun her around, his eyes flashing with anger. "Pay attention to me," he growled, his voice low and menacing. But Marie's eyes kept drifting back to Drake, who was now making his way towards her. She felt a sense of trepidation, her mind racing with conflicting emotions. As Drake approached, Tyson's grip on her hand tightened. "Can I help you?" he sneered, his eyes flashing with hostility. Drake smiled, his eyes never leaving Marie's face. "Just wanted to congratulate the happy couple," he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. Marie's heart skipped a beat as she searched for words, her thoughts tangled in a web of confusion and desire. "Thank you," she stammered, her voice barely above a whisper. Drake's eyes locked on hers, and for a moment, they just stared at each other. Marie felt like she was drowning in his gaze, like she was being pulled under by a powerful current. And then, just as suddenly, he turned and walked away. Marie felt like she had been punched in the gut, like all the air had been sucked out of her. She knew she had to escape, to break free from the suffocating grip of her new reality. Marie couldn't shake off the feeling of unease as she watched Drake walk away. She felt like she was living a lie, trapped in a marriage she didn't want. Tyson, oblivious to her turmoil, pulled her close, his eyes gleaming with triumph. "We did it, my dear," he whispered, his breath hot against her ear. "We're finally married." Marie forced a smile, trying to hide her true feelings. But as she looked around the room, she felt like she was drowning in a sea of expectation. Her parents, beaming with pride, approached them, followed by a trail of well-wishers. Marie's mind numbed as she accepted congratulations and kisses, her heart heavy with regret. As the night wore on, Marie's thoughts drifted back to Drake. Who was he? And why did he seem to understand her in a way no one else did? She knew she had to find out more about him, to uncover the secrets he seemed to hold. But for now, she was trapped in this gilded cage, forced to play the role of the happy bride. As the clock struck midnight, Marie felt like she was losing herself, suffocating under the weight of her new identity. She knew she had to escape, but for now, she was stuck in this nightmare. Marie and Tyson's honeymoon was a tense and awkward affair. They spent their days exploring the luxurious resort, but the nights were filled with stilted conversation and unspoken tension. A dark cloud of hopelessness settled over Marie, casting a shadow over the lavish decorations and opulent surroundings. She felt like she was drowning in a sea of obligation, with no lifeline in sight. As they sat down for a romantic dinner on the beach, Marie's heart felt heavy with regret. She knew she had to find a way out of this marriage, but the doors seemed to be closing in around her. Tyson, sensing her unease, reached out and took her hand. "What's wrong, my dear?" he asked, his voice dripping with condescension. Marie forced a smile, trying to hide her true feelings. "Just a little overwhelmed, that's all," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. Tyson's eyes narrowed, his grip on her hand tightening. "You're mine now, Marie," he repeated, his voice low and menacing. "You'll do what I say, when I say it." Marie felt a shiver run down her spine as she realized the true extent of her situation. She was bound to a man who seemed to delight in her misery, and she didn't know how to break free. She thought back to Alex's warnings about Tyson's shady dealings and his history of manipulation. She was trapped in a marriage with a man who had a history of using and controlling those around him. And then, there was the matter of his business dealings. Marie wondered if she would ever be able to escape the web of deceit and corruption that Tyson had spun. Marie woke up to the sound of Tyson's voice, his words piercing through her haze of sleep. "Good morning, my dear. Today's schedule is packed. We have a meeting with some potential investors, and then a charity gala tonight." Marie rubbed her eyes, trying to shake off the feeling of unease that had settled in her stomach. She realized that she had been living in a bubble, pretending that everything was fine, but the truth was far from it. As she got dressed and ready for the day, Marie couldn't help but feel like a prisoner in her own life. She was trapped in a loveless marriage, with a man who saw her as nothing more than a trophy to be displayed. The meeting with the investors was a blur, Tyson talking about numbers and projections, while Marie smiled and nodded, playing the role of the dutiful wife. As they prepared for the charity gala…..
