“You hurt her.” Ms. Brown's voice assured me as I looked at her, entirely blank. I knew I did. But what should I do now? “Yeah! Bye.” She smiled, probably sensing that I need to fix it. Oh, hell yeah, I need to fix it right now. I have hurt her on her birthday.
Without wasting further moment, I immediately ran fast and lunged ahead of Belle's position. I had blocked her way so that she couldn't cross the exit and leave the park. “Don't go.” I mumbled and held her hand.
“Move.” Refusing to meet my gaze, she lowered her eyes and tried to let go of my grip.
I do deserve it. But she is just too weak to push me away and that's a good thing... for me.
“I didn't mean to hurt you.” Because of running fast, I had been panting. “Something was wrong with me. I... I am sorry.”
