After school on Monday, Nikos goes home to tidy up his place before I’m allowed to come over for dinner. I’ve never seen his house. I feel honoured that he wants to take me into his little magical corner of the world.
I go home to freshen up before I make my way over into the woods.
I pop into the co-op when I get off the bus for some almond milk and end up with biccies as well.
As I duck into the little footpath that connects Lias with Victoria, someone approaches me.
A brawny, incredibly handsome man. He’s so tall and handsome I feel like averting my eyes so as not to be dazzled. Is he not wearing a shirt? And are those horns growing out of his head? Curved and huge, like those of a mouflon sheep.
