It took another three days of sleeping and healing before Matt would let Alex out of bed for more than the bathroom. She was more than ready. The company had been good, but she was used to being busy and active. Being stuck in bed, staring at the same four walls for days was making her nuts. “Let’s start with downstairs to eat,” Matt said, his voice firm. “We can discuss more when we see how you feel after that.” They’d been arguing for ten minutes. He’d started out telling her to wait until dinner to go down to eat, but she’d stood her ground.
