“Selene,” Soren whispered beside her with his voice low and steady. “Remember what I told you. Keep a cool head. Don’t let anything in there get under your skin.”
Selene stood at one of the many entrances of the massive maze. Each entrance was carved into the stone wall like a hungry mouth waiting to swallow whoever stepped inside. Other Alphas and Betas were already standing at their own starting points, tense, ready and determined.
She flexed her fingers around the hilt of her dagger.
