-Ava- I thanked Everly for the food repeatedly as we returned to the office. Eventually, she had to ask me to stop because I was driving her a little crazy, though it wasn’t my intention. We quickly went our separate ways and got back to work, trying to maintain professionalism. So far, I believed we were doing a good job, even though I had almost messed it up by admitting something that shouldn’t be revealed so early in our acquaintance. Time flew by, and while I hadn’t completed all my assignments, I seemed to be managing decently on my first day. At least I hadn’t spilled coffee on anyone or angered anyone, but I felt eyes on me.
