We had about half an hour before we needed to meet the book appraiser, so while Hildy went into her room to take a nap, I caught Boone up on our visit to the tour guides. “Moira was really angry,” I said. “Like really angry.” Boone sat forward. “Angry enough to kill?” “I don’t know,” I said, “and besides, she wasn’t there the second night.” “But it wouldn’t have been hard for her to come back, kill Marcus, and get back out of the village during the night, not when on horseback.” Boone sat back and twisted his mustache. “When you do that, you look like a cartoon villain,” I said. “Maybe I am a villain? Do you like bad boys?” I rolled my eyes and gave him a quick kiss. “I need to go find Ivan. Apparently, he’s cooking tonight.” Boone raised an eyebrow but didn’t ask. With the message
