4: LETTING OFF STEAM

TENNA. I had exactly ten minutes to make myself presentable. Ten minutes to transform from the sleepless, anxious mess I'd been all night into someone who could face three alpha kings without immediately dropping to my knees and begging them to f**k me. The bond wasn't helping. It pulsed under my skin like a second heartbeat, screaming at me to open the door, let them in, let them claim what was theirs. I splashed cold water on my face, brushed my teeth, ran a brush through my tangled red hair. I was still wearing the oversized hotel robe, nothing underneath except the lingerie I'd worn to bed—black lace boy shorts and a matching bralette. Not the sexy club outfit from last night, but somehow more intimate. More real. A knock at the door made me jump. It had barely been eight minutes. I took a shaky breath and opened the door. All three of them stood in the hallway, and the sight of them made my mouth go dry. They'd clearly gone home and showered—hair still damp, wearing fresh clothes. Elliot in dark jeans and a white button-down that made his ice-blue eyes even more striking. Rowan in black joggers and a grey t-shirt that clung to his muscled chest. Torhana in all black, looking like sin incarnate. And all three of them were staring at me like they wanted to devour me whole. "Hi," I said stupidly. "Hi, sweetheart." Elliot's voice was soft, but his eyes were pure heat. "Can we come in?" I stepped back, and they entered my tiny hotel room, immediately making it feel even smaller. The door clicked shut, and suddenly we were alone, the bond crackling between us like electricity. "Did you sleep?" Rowan asked, his amber eyes studying my face. "No." There was no point lying. They could probably smell it on me—the exhaustion, the anxiety, the desperate need I'd been fighting all night. "Did you?" "Not a f*****g second," Torhana said roughly. "All I could think about was you. How you looked dancing for us. How you tasted when I marked your neck. How badly I wanted to—" "Torhana," Elliot warned. "What? We're supposed to pretend we're not losing our minds?" Torhana's silver eyes were blazing. "She can feel it too. I can smell how wet she is." Heat flooded my cheeks, and I pulled my robe tighter around me. "I said I needed time—" "And we'll give it to you," Elliot said firmly, shooting Torhana a look. "But we wanted to see you. To make sure you're okay. To talk about what happens next." "What happens next is you seduce me properly," I said before I could stop myself. "If we're doing this—if I'm agreeing to be your Luna—then I want to be courted. Romanced. I want to feel like I'm more than just a bond that snapped into place." The three of them exchanged glances, something passing between them in that silent way they had. "You want romance?" Rowan's lips curved into a slow smile. "We can do romance." "We can do whatever you want," Elliot added, moving closer. "But Tenna, you need to understand something." "What?" His hand came up to cup my face, and I leaned into the touch automatically. "The bond is only going to get stronger. More demanding. It's going to hurt to be apart. It's going to be nearly impossible not to touch you, taste you, claim you." His thumb brushed my bottom lip. "So if you want us to court you, to take our time, we will. But there's going to come a point where you're going to beg us to f**k you." The crude word shouldn't have turned me on. But it did. God, it did. "I'm not begging for anything," I said, trying to sound confident. "We'll see," Torhana murmured, and the promise in his voice made my thighs clench. "So what now?" I asked, needing to break the tension before I did something stupid. "You said you wanted to talk about what happens next." "We want you to come home with us," Elliot said simply. "Pack your things. Check out of this hotel. Come back to the mansion." My heart stuttered. "Today? Right now?" "Unless you want to stay in Miami?" Rowan gestured around the tiny room. "We have a private jet waiting. We can be home in a few hours." Home. They were calling it home like I already belonged there. "What about Lyssa?" I asked suddenly. "Your sister is my best friend. What is she going to think when I show up as your mate?" "She's going to be thrilled," Rowan said with a grin. "She's been telling us for years that we were idiots for not seeing what was right in front of us." I blinked. "What?" "Lyssa knew," Elliot admitted. "Our wolves were always drawn to you. Always protective. She noticed even if we didn't understand why." "She's going to say 'I told you so' about a thousand times," Torhana added. "And then she's going to plan the most elaborate Luna ceremony in pack history." Luna ceremony. Pack. This was really happening. "I need to shower," I said abruptly, feeling overwhelmed. "And change. And think." "Take your time," Elliot said, but his eyes said he wanted to join me in that shower. I grabbed clothes from my suitcase—jeans, a soft sweater, fresh underwear—and escaped to the bathroom, locking the door behind me. The moment I was alone, I sagged against the sink, my heart racing. They were out there. My mates. Waiting for me. And I was this close to saying f**k the courting and dragging them into bed. I turned on the shower, letting the water heat up, and caught sight of myself in the mirror. My neck was still marked from where they'd scented me last night—faint bruises from their mouths, their scents still clinging to my skin. Claimed. I stripped off my robe and lingerie, stepping under the hot spray, and immediately my hand slid between my thighs. I was soaked. Aching. The bond was demanding, and I needed relief. I braced one hand against the tile wall and circled my c**t with shaking fingers, biting my lip to keep quiet. But the moment I touched myself, I felt it—a sharp pull through the bond, like they knew exactly what I was doing. "f**k," I whispered, my fingers moving faster. I thought about last night. About dancing for them. About the way they'd looked at me like I was the only thing in the world. About Elliot's hand on my jaw, Rowan's voice in my ear, Torhana's mouth on my neck. I thought about what it would feel like to have all three of them at once. Elliot's c**k in my p***y, Rowan's in my mouth, Torhana's fingers working my ass. Being filled completely, claimed thoroughly, marked inside and out. The orgasm hit me hard and fast, and I had to bite down on my hand to muffle my cry. But even as I came down from the high, I knew it wasn't enough. My body was still hungry, still aching, still screaming for them. This was going to be torture. When I emerged from the bathroom twenty minutes later, fully dressed and somewhat composed, all three of them were standing in exactly the same positions. Like they hadn't moved. Hadn't even breathed. "Better?" Elliot asked, but his eyes said he knew exactly what I'd done in that shower. "Much," I lied. Torhana's nostrils flared. "Liar. You still smell like need." "Can we not do this right now?" I snapped, embarrassed. "I said I needed time, and you're already—" "You're right." Rowan held up his hands in surrender. "We're being pushy. We'll back off." "Thank you." "But we do need to leave soon," Elliot added. "The jet is waiting, and we have pack business to attend to tomorrow." "What kind of pack business?" "The kind where we officially introduce you as our Luna," Torhana said with a predatory smile. "And make it very clear that you're under our protection." "Is there a threat I should know about?" I asked, suddenly nervous. "There's always threats," Elliot said grimly. "We have enemies. Wolves who want our power, our territory. And now that they know we have a mate, you become a target." Great. Just great. "But we won't let anything happen to you," Rowan added quickly. "You'll have guards. Protection. Anything you need." "I don't want guards. I want a normal life." All three of them laughed at that. "Sweetheart, you're mated to three alpha kings," Elliot said. "Normal went out the window the moment the bond snapped." He wasn't wrong. I looked around my tiny hotel room, at the meager belongings I'd brought with me to Miami. This was supposed to be my fresh start. My chance to escape the debt and the pain and find something better. I'd found it. Just not in the way I expected. "Okay," I said finally. "I'll come home with you. But I have conditions." "More conditions?" Torhana raised an eyebrow. "How many are there?" "As many as I need." I crossed my arms. "First, I want my own room. At least for now. I know the bond is going to make that difficult, but I need space." "Done," Elliot agreed immediately. "Second, I want to tell my mom myself. About the bond, about you. She deserves to hear it from me." "Of course." "And third..." I hesitated. "I want you to mean it. The courting. The romance. I don't want this to just be about the bond. I want you to actually want me. Not just because fate says you should." The three of them moved as one, surrounding me, their presence overwhelming. "Tenna," Elliot said softly, tipping my chin up. "We've wanted you since long before the bond. We just didn't understand what it meant." "Our wolves have been going insane around you for months," Rowan added. "Snarling at other males. Wanting to be near you. We thought we were losing our minds." "And now that we know you're ours?" Torhana's voice was rough. "We're never letting you go. Bond or no bond. You're ours, little mate. And we're going to spend every day proving we deserve you." My throat tightened with emotion. "Promise?" "Promise," all three of them said in unison. And then Elliot kissed me.
