Chapter 4

I walked out of the closet in shock. All the clothes that the man had in the room were exactly my size. What the f**k!

I guess I'm gonna be stuck in here for a while.

I walked out of the room dressed in a white sundress that reached down to my knees and a pink flat sandal.

Soon I reached the grand staircase and Oh my god this place was so beautiful. The house was decorated in white, black, and cream color. There were beautiful paintings everywhere. When I reached the bottom of the stairs there was a big chandelier on the roof. I continued looking around the house and got this lonely feeling. As if the house was empty, not even a guard was in sight.

Just then The blue eye man walked up towards me. "You look stunning my Angel," he said grabbing my hand and kissing them like some kind of gentleman. Bullshit! I didn't know what to say so I just stared up at him. "The weather is nice, let's eat out in the garden," he said with a huge smile on his face and started leading me out of the house.

Throughout our way to the garden, my eyes were scanning the whole place looking for a possible escape route. I realize this man was f*****g mental and there was no way he was gonna let me exit this house with permission, I had to escape by myself.

Soon we made it outside and wow, I've always been an outdoor person, I remember the flowers I used to grow with my dad before his disappearance. I use to study all kinds of flowers, roses, daisies, tulips, orchids, iris, lily's, I was in love with all of them.

I noticed the blue eye Man's garden is very similar to my dream garden, everything that I have drawn, starting with the different flowers, the little shade house with chairs, tables, and even couches. The big trees where I can sit under them and read as many books as I can feeling the warm breeze brushing through my hair. This place was my dream garden. What the hell!

We walked to the table and he pulled out a chair for me to sit on before he push it back in. Surprisingly the food was already set up for us. I was still in shock at the garden.

"Do you like it?" I was interrupted when his deep voice broke me from the trance.

"Your garden, it's so similar"

There's no way this man doesn't know me, wait he does, he knew me way before I meet him. It's so obvious, he knew my name when I never told him, he said he's waited way too long to have me in his arms. And now this? My dream garden?

"Can I ask you a question" I mumbled fiddling with my fingers under the table.

"Only if you're going to keep your eyes on me." He said and that's when I realize I'd been avoiding eye contact.

I snap my gaze at him and sucked a deep breath feeling small from his intense lustful gaze. "You seem like- you know me for a long time. Do you?"

He looked at me and chuckled"Tesoro I told you that before"

"What's your name?" At least I needed to know the name of my capture, so when I escape this place he can pay for his crimes.

"Alexander Bernardi" he replied flatly, all while staring down at me as if he's studying me and my body language.

"how long have you known me? You said my name before and I've never told you". He chuckled "I've known you since you were 15," he said shocking me. How old is this man?

"H- how old are you?"

"29" that's a 7-year difference between us. I hope this man wasn't stalking me from my minor years

"Were you stalking me?"

He chuckled "something like that" what the hell, he just admitted to stalking me. I couldn't help myself but blurt out "And that's something you're proud of?"

"Is it something I should be ashamed of?"

"Um yes, I was a minor at 15 and you were a grown 22-year-old man stalking me. That's wrong"

"And who said it's wrong?"

"Me"

"Who are you to say what's right and wrong?"

"Someone better than you"

He chuckled before shaking his head and grabbing his fork to eat. "Baby you're no better than me. Are all humans not equal?"

"You're not a human"

"Then what am I"

"A monster"

"I've been told that I'm worse than a monster, you better hope you'll never experience that side of me." He suddenly growled out all too calm. His body was saying one thing but his eyes were telling a whole different story, it held terror and malice, warning me to taunt him. I felt my heartbeat increasing as his voice dropped to a more calm scary tone "You will most definitely not like it if you think keeping you against your will makes me a monster. Now let's eat, I'm famished."

I quickly grabbed the fork with my trembling hands and started taking small bites of my food. Completely lost my appetite due to his threat, but still, he wanted me to eat and this wasn't the time to throw a tantrum. I have to be strong so I can escape from here.

When we finished eating Alexander got told me that I was allowed to come to the garden anytime I pleased but I have to inform him about my whereabouts first, I quickly agreed to that seeing a chance for me to execute my escape plan.

"I have to go out to handle some business, the housekeeper Mary will come and give you a tour of the house after that I want you to go back into the room, I know you love reading so you can take any book from the library and bring it to the room if you want. Around 1 Mary will bring your lunch and she'll make sure that you eat all of them, I know you skip your meals when reading and I'm not having any of that. Don't skip your meals or there will be consequences. I'll be back at 7 pm then we will have our dinner. I don't want you to leave the room today since I'm not home" he said calmly as if giving instructions to a senseless child. That's not gonna happen as soon as he leaves and this Mary leaves I'm gonna take my chances and escape out of here.

"Do you understand Tesoro?" He said tilting his head to the side. Damn, he looks so sexy doing that.

What the hell! why am I thinking about how sexy he looks. His looks mean nothing.

"Yes I understand," I said timidly low but enough for him to hear me. "I'll see you later" he stood up from his chair and pulled me up into his arms before bending down and placing a chaste kiss on my right cheek, which caught me off guard. He smirk seeing my expression then turned on his heels and walk away. I watched him until he disappeared from my view before I started looking around the garden.

I never knew that my dream garden would look this good in person. It makes me wonder what Alexander's intentions are. What is he trying to do with me? Keeping me here to work? Clean? Cook? Or maybe he's keeping me here to warm his bed. Oh heck no, there's no way I'll ever let that happen. I know I may be weak and a cry baby, but not this time, I'll have to be strong so I can get out of here.

If only I can get my hands on a phone. Maybe I'll be able to contact Jade and tell her to track the phone. God, they'll all probably be worried sick about me.

"Hello ma'am, my name is Mary and I am the head housekeeper here. I was told by Mr. Bernardi to look after you while he's gone and to give you a tour of the house as well. Are you ready" Mary said walking up to me

"Yes please," I said with a smile hoping I could find a way to escape this stupid mansion or castle or whatever they call these types of houses...

The mansion is so big and beautiful, Mary has shown me the first floor, the second floor, and now the third. It's been 2 hours of us walking around. I'm so tired. But so far I know that they have a huge library on the second floor with all different kinds of books. There's a game room on the first with a theater to watch movies. This House has 13 rooms and 14 bathrooms, a music room with all the instruments to play. This is only one of the many mansions that the Bernardi family owns. Most of them live in their hometown in Italy. I don't know how many siblings Alexander has because Mary said it's not for her to tell me but for Alexander to tell me himself. But I know that they are a pretty big family from all the family portraits that I've seen around the house.

I still haven't found any escaping places yet the house is heavily guarded, with guards at almost every corner. I'm so f*****g screwed if I let the weeks pass and not escape because Mary told me that Alexander is planning on leaving the United States.

What am I gonna do? I urgently need to find a phone and contact my friends to at least let them know that I'm ok.

Maybe I can convince Mary to let me borrow her phone.

"Ok my dear this is it" she turned around facing me.

"Mary can I please borrow your phone to make a call real quick," I said looking at her pleadingly "I'm sorry ma'am I can't, sir won't like that at all," she said looking at me sympathetically. "I just want to let them know that I'm fine, I was at the club with them last night. Please, Mary. I'll be quick and you can stand here to listen to the conversation"

"I'm sorry I can't"

Oh my god, I let out a deep sigh before looking up feeling the tears welling up in my eyes"It's ok I understand," I said to her feeling disappointed, she's right though. I don't know what I was thinking asking her for such a thing. Alex would probably go ballistic on the old woman for such an act.

"Let's get you back into your room dear," Mary said opening the door

"Mary can you please stop calling me ma'am you can just call me Gigi or Gina," I said smiling at her warmly

"I'm sorry dear but sir doesn't want that, Only family members can call you by your name." She said walking beside me

"Why?"

"It's always been like that ma'am it's a sign of respect" I'm not comfortable having a woman who's at least 3 times my age addressing me with such formalities, it feels weird.

"Ok I understand," I said walking inside the room. "I will bring your lunch very Quickly," Mary said, walking out.

I set the books on the shelf beside me and took the tv remote control and turned it on.

I searched up all the news channels hoping to see my face somewhere but found none. I changed the channel to Spongebob Squarepants and let the tv play. I laid down on my stomach and opened up the book to start reading.

"Ma'am your food is ready" I felt Mary shaking me awake

"How long have I been out," I ask wiping the drools out my mouth

"It's been about 2 hours. I guess you were really tired. When I walked in here you were sleeping."

"Ok I'll eat the food," I said pulling the plates next to me

" I will be back in 10 minutes to see if you're eating" With that, she walked out and I started eating.
