More than a few eyes linger on his love bite. Blushing, I look down at my feet.
"Eyes up," The Alpha reminds me. "Remember, you're proud and happy to be here."
Adjusting my stance, I try to be regal as we move through the main entrance towards security. Every single eye watching burns as it passes over me. Most are appraising, and a few are truly joyful, their eyes tearing up. But then there is the occasional glare, mostly from females, that looks downright nasty.
When the elevator doors close, I lean against the walls and struggle to get my speeding heart to settle. I feel like a caged animal trapped in a building full of predators.
Rudy leans forward, but Sly growls giving him pause. "Mine," Sly snaps at his beta and my heart beats a little faster.
