Chapter 7 Trevor’s heart was beating out of his chest. When he noticed Jordan outside the door, he felt a surge of excitement that he came to the café after closing, but then he saw the lost look and sadness on Jordan’s face, and knew something was wrong. Trevor prided himself on not asking a million questions—of course with Sam he had to, the guy would go off on a tangent, so he had to keep him focused, but he sensed Jordan just needed to know someone was there.
