KANE The papers blurred in front of me for the third time in an hour. I tossed the glass in my hand aside with a groan, the liquid sloshing over the rim and onto the desk, and I didn't even bother reaching for something to wipe it. My chest felt wrong — like a f*****g elephant had been sitting on it. I slammed the stack of papers down and dragged a hand through my hair. This feeling was strange.
