June finally texted. She hadn't shown up at school the entire day for any class. Her father had been away for a while since the death of the Alpha, and now that he was back, Goddess knows how deep their plan had become.
My body itched badly because I wanted to confront her, but I didn't know how.
The moment the lecturer left the class, I gathered my books and walked out. I walked cluelessly until my eyes caught a figure in a black hoodie, trying to sneak into the dormitories.
Even with all the disguise, I could recognize her.
"June!" I yelled, running toward her.
She kept walking without turning back. I called out again, but she quickened her pace, and I increased mine, yanking her back before she could take another step.
