Ann found herself unable to control her own actions. Her glands were emitting pheromones, leaving her feeling somewhat humiliated. She desperately wanted to break free from this shameful situation, so she resorted to biting the merfolk's shoulder blade. It tasted slightly moist and salty, but her feeble cries grew louder and more frantic, her breaths on the verge of breaking.
The omega fever had truly consumed Ann, causing her to lose herself in every sense. It was as if her consciousness was adrift in a warm ocean, and the thought of breaking free faded away.
The merfolk seemed to sense that something was amiss as Ann grew hotter in her embrace.
Ann's mind floated in a soothing sea, causing her to momentarily forget about escaping. The merfolk's laughter echoed in the sweltering heat, filling the air with a hoarse and gritty sound that resembled a ghostly echo from across the deep underwater ravine. The thick scent enveloped Ann's entire being, penetrating every cell and pore, almost suffocating her as if she was on the brink of drowning.
Whispering in her ear, beneath a cascade of long hair, the merfolk murmured, "Rose...” Her golden eyes glistened with moisture, "Don't resist anymore."
"Don't make a move, trust me."
"DeRozan..." Ann struggled to flutter her eyelashes, her eyes teary and red. "Is that your name?"
A velvety and graceful voice rumbled from deep within the merfolk's throat, resembling a playful chuckle. Ann could feel the resonance emanating from their connected bodies.
This intermittent murmur held an enchanting quality, causing Ann to lose herself in an inexplicable whirlpool, only to gradually relax her body.
Suddenly, the merfolk tightened her tail, encircling Ann even more firmly. The sudden restriction of her breath jolted Ann awake for a brief moment.
Yet, Ann sensed that the merfolk harbored no malicious intentions and had no desire to harm her. Within moments, she regained her composure after that initial moment of panic.
Slowly, Ann even found a subtle pleasure in this delicate suffocation. She realized that the merfolk too yearned for her presence. Unconsciously, Ann arched her waist and matched the merfolk's embrace, intertwining their bodies tightly. From a distance, a human and a merfolk appeared inseparable, as if destined to be intertwined in such a manner.
With his long and robust arms, he enveloped Ann's shoulders and back, his sharp nails unintentionally grazing her tattered dress as he trembled.
Ann couldn't explain why she felt such excitement and anticipation, her chest trembling with anticipation.
At this very instant, Ann experienced a profound sense of purpose. It felt as if her existence was destined to unfold in this exact manner, intertwined with this extraordinary species from the depths of the sea.
The merfolk gracefully extended her long and slender fingers, placing them gently on the back of Ann's neck, as if she could sense the pulse of her very being. It was as though she could feel Ann's every breath, heartbeat, and even the temperature of her body.
Due to her lack of glands, the merfolk remained unmarked, devoid of any distinct taste. Her touch was clear, yet delicate, almost ephemeral.
Unconsciously, the merfolk's arms and tail tightened around Ann. It was as if she was enveloped by warm water, on the brink of drifting off into an eternal slumber. Ann felt as though she was surrendering herself to a realm of fading existence.
Until the merfolk gently grazed Ann's glands with her sharp nails.
In that moment, Ann snapped back to reality. Her eyes, filled with distraction, caught sight of the merfolk's lips drawing nearer to her earlobe.
"Who has caused you harm?" the merfolk whispered.
"What...? Who has hurt me..." Ann's consciousness struggled to stay afloat, as if she had just been plucked from the comforting embrace of the sea.
Unable to think, unable to discern, she was completely consumed by the present moment.
Time ceased to hold any relevance, yet there was one undeniable truth: Ann instinctively clung onto the merfolk's shoulder, the only tangible connection to the real world.
