Chapter 58 Publish

1279 Words

Gabriel’s POV I couldn’t believe what I was reading on my phone screen as Luke replied to me. Does this guy even know what he’s doing at all? How can he claim that hotel rooms don’t have CCTV installed because it’s against privacy laws and could lead to lawsuits? My heart raced, pounding with panic that made me shiver. My hands shook as I scrolled back through the message, rereading his words over and over again, hoping for some clarity, but none came. This is bad... This is really bad. I continued pacing around the room, glancing out the windows from time to time, hoping the sight of the street below would calm me, but it only made my anxiety worse. I knew Luke had made a terrible mistake. I should have realised this moment was inevitable the second he’d started veering off-script.
