Gabriel’s POV
As soon as she left the house, I sprang to my feet. It was no longer the time to wallow in despair because of her. It was time to take the bull by the horns.
I called Luke again.
"Look, I'm done hearing about how you need time to plan or whatever. I need her taken out now. My life is spiraling into a complete mess, and I can’t just stand by and watch it fall apart," I said, my voice thick with desperation.
"Man, it's risky," Luke replied after a pause. "But if you want me to do it now, I will. Just know that if things go sideways, I'm bailing, and the trail might lead back to you."
Luke’s words made me pause for a moment. But my determination burned hotter than my fear. It had to be now, not later.
