The Monster's Claim

Episode 2 King Kael was rumored to be cruel, ruthless, and cursed by the Moon Goddess herself. Stories told of villages destroyed by his wrath and enemies who vanished without a trace. Wolves feared him. Alphas avoided him. His name alone was enough to silence an entire room. When he captured Luna, she expected torture. Instead, he offered her protection. "I will never force you to stay," Kael said. "But if you leave, the wolves hunting you will tear you apart." Luna hated him. She hated his power. She hated the way her heart raced whenever he looked at her. Days turned into weeks. Weeks turned into months. The walls she built around her heart slowly began to c***k. As weeks passed, she discovered the truth behind his curse. Kael carried a darkness that slowly consumed his soul. And somehow, Luna was the only one capable of saving him. But trusting him meant risking her heart again. Just as she began to trust him, Damien appeared. Begging. Broken. Desperate to have her back. Life within Kael's territory was unlike anything Luna had imagined. The feared Lycan King ruled with strength, but also with fairness. His people respected him, not because they feared him, but because they trusted him. Each day, Luna learned something new about him. She noticed the way he protected the weak. The way he listened before making decisions. The way sadness lingered in his eyes whenever he believed nobody was watching. The more she learned, the harder it became to hate him. One evening, they stood together beneath the moonlight overlooking the mountains. "You deserve better than what happened to you," Kael said quietly. Luna was surprised by the sincerity in his voice. For a moment, neither spoke. The silence between them felt different now. Comfortable. Dangerous. A part of Luna wanted to step away before her feelings grew stronger. Another part wanted to stay exactly where she was. Far away, enemies were gathering and old secrets were beginning to surface. The peace Luna had found would not last forever. A storm was coming.
