Chapter Nineteen The third attempt at closing was a failure, also. The first two had been total calamities. At the first one, there was no title and no title insurance, and the closing attorney stood up and held up his hands like he was under arrest and said he wasn’t going any further unless there was clear title and history of ownership. The university attorney put his head on the table and rocked from side to side. He knew he’d get eviscerated by his boss at this debacle, but he wasn’t sure where to turn next.
