The search for the gold was pretty sophisticated, which it had to be since there was no map.
The hunters first arranged for a helicopter flyover of the entire property and used a complex camera system to photograph every inch of the forest from the air. The photos were assembled on the wall of their rented office, and when they were pieced together, it gave them a gigantic photo montage of the forest. They spent several days poring over the photos with magnifying glasses, looking for anything that might give them a clue as to the gold’s whereabouts. The only interesting thing was a couple of coeds skinny dipping in one of the streams and waving to the helicopter. The fortune hunters made a special note about this location for later on.
