Aerion It had been a long night, more tiresome than I had expected and less fruitful. I blinked, letting my eyes adjust to the brightness of the room. I checked my phone as it was the first thing I always did incase of an emergency meeting or an alert of something having happened through the night. All I found was a message from Arya that I must have missed when I left the party. I need to see you tomorrow. It’s important. The words were enough to clear all the remaining traces of sleep from my eyes. My mind raced, replaying last night. I remembered the moment I had leaned in, so close that I could feel her breath, before stopping when I saw the flash of panic in her eyes. I had pulled back, but maybe it was already too late.
