Nick had seen Tyson’s eyes become unfocused as he sat across from him in Tyson’s office. As the dragon’s eyes refocused, a growl reverberated through the room, causing Nick to shift uncomfortably in his chair. Nick raised a questioning eyebrow at Tyson as he watched his friend reach for his cell phone. “Did something happen with one of the kids?” Nick asked, genuinely concerned. “No, but it might,” Tyson sighed as he paused in making his call. “Your mother keeps bothering Kevin. She wants to come here to Obsidian and have the same opportunity to make amends as Ethan did.
