Viktorija sighed as she walked away from looking at the stored chakra she had in her necklace; she used the chakra draining so often that she had started storing chakra in a necklace around her neck and she just hoped that no one saw it and tried using that to kill her.
Leaning against a nearby tree, she watched as large black cats jumped over her head. The creatures of the Nightmare forest were used to her by now, she had been there often enough, and her Clan would have created something this terrifying out of pure boredom. She wouldn’t be surprised if the Vitkus Clan had their hand in this terrifying piece of forest.
Viktorija found it calming, like she belonged with the shadow cats and blood bats. It helped her practice her sensors skill, since she would try to figure out what came from an illusion seal and what came from a living animal. Sometimes she would run into her sister’s summons in the forest, and now she knew the difference between a summons and a normal creature.
It wasn’t just the animals; it was also the rivers and plants. Some poisonous plants were made to look harmless and some harmless plants were made to look poisonous. Some rivers were mud slides and some mud slides were rivers.
Turning around, she quickly ran back to Ismay and Etienne, she could sense something coming towards them at a high speed. The scent of snake’s put her on edge, since she didn’t know its signature. Xavierra made sure that Viktorija knew her summons and knew their signatures like the back of her hand.
Jumping over a river, Viktorija grabbed a tree branch and jumped onto the branch in front of it, landing as she spotted Ismay talking to Etienne as he looked around. Jumping down, a strong gush of wind knocked her backwards away from her team and into a tree trunk.
She growled as she stood up, she just hoped that she didn’t crack any of her bones in her spin and ribs from that. Viktorija wasn’t happy, whoever thought using her small weight and height against her was going severely pay! While she agreed that it was a smart move, it didn’t mean she couldn’t be annoyed.
Or make them regret it. Make them regret even looking at her funny and she had plans about ripping their neck out with her teeth and bare hands! Snapping her head to the right, she spotted a giant brown snake with glowing yellow eyes looking at her like she was a tasty treat.
That didn’t make the situation any better, she knew that Xavierra summoned them; had a contract with one of the heads of the Snake Clan; but saying that, she knew about someone else who also had a contact with the other head of the other Snake Clan.
This snake wasn’t didn’t work with her sœur aînée.
“You’re not one of Xavierra’s summons, are you?” Viktorija asked keeping an eye on the creature as it hissed at her, lifting its body up and went to strike. Cartwheeling out of the way, she jumped onto a nearby tree and prayed to the Mother of Mercy that her next action didn’t end up with her dead.
“Nope, looks like you’re one of the morons stuck with Leodegrance,” Viktorija spat out, before being amused that a snake had a name meaning lion. When it turned back on her, keeping its head low to the ground, Viktorija made sure to stay completely still. Snakes were blind after all, they felt movement with their tongue.
Meaning she had to move for it to know where she was.
“Instead of following the elegant Nynette, your loss my scaly friend,” Viktorija finished, she smiled as it narrowed its eyes, bowing its head as it course towards her tree, without blinking the moment it was under her; she jumped onto its back.
Making sure she had enough chakra at the bottom of her feet to not fall off the now panicking creature.
“I’m going to have to kill you, but no hard feelings.” Slowly making her way to its head, she unsealed her sword and without another thought, drove it into the base of the snake’s head. When the snake was gone and Viktorija was back on the ground, she closed her eyes and tried to track down Ismay or Etienne’s signature.
“How to find a banshee, it shouldn’t be too hard,” Viktorija whispered to herself, Ismay would be easy to find since she screamed louder than any alarm the Academy had to tell them to leave or enter the builder. “Launcelot, you owe me big time. I swear to the stars and to the Mother of Mercy, I will collect.”

Etienne only looked at the person standing above him and Ismay, before he knew it Launce was breaking through the forest with his sword already out and in front of his body. They didn’t acknowledge Ismay or Launce, they were too busy staring at him. Etienne couldn’t tell if they were male or female.
All he knew was that they were strong and they freakingly, Etienne thought they were freaky looking and looked insane. Insane to the point that he knew that they were worse than Viktorija was. At least when Viktorija jumped him, he knew he would be walking away with his life intact.
Viktorija had tried to jump in on this standoff, but they had used a wind technique to stop her midjump and blow her away. A shocked expression on her face as they did so, before she looked ready to kill something. Launce froze as killing intend coming from the person; the killing intent was worse than anything he had felt before now.
“Well, look at this,” they said as Ismay whimpered as she closed herself into a nearby tree root, Launce just looked at her before standing in front of Etienne. Etienne stepping to stand next to him, his own sword pulled out pointing at the nut job.
Viktorija quickly joining them, bruises on her arms. He didn’t know how long he and Launce were staring at the person. At their enemy, they were strong since they didn’t look worried about facing three different fighters.
“For the Mother of Mercy,” Viktorija hissed as her eyes glowed glow and a water dragon twisted around her body. Launce just looked at the dragon before the enemy; the dragon slamming into the branch that they were standing on. Making them jump onto the branch above it. “Listen to me you overgrown clown doll; it’s going to take something more than an overgrown garden snake to get rid of me.”
Ismay just looked at Viktorija, she didn’t know who was worse. All she knew that was that two people wanted her dead, one just couldn’t do without it effecting her future job choices and the other was just weirdly dressed, she felt like a mouse trapped in a corner.
Seriously, Ismay thought as she looked at their clothing. White? Who wore white in the Nightmare forest? Or even in missions, even she knew that blood was hard to get out of white, which was the reason she didn’t wear it, even if Mama told her it was the colour of purity and she wear it on her wedding day; to show her purity and loyalty to her future husband.
“Hang on, it’s one of Nestanha Village’s three,” Viktorija bit out, her eyes glowing red as fire went her arms. “Lynne Serpent. It’s been nearly twenty years since you left, I do hope you’re not too mad at me for ending your search. Immortality doesn’t suit everyone.”
“Viktorija,” Lynne hissed, yellow eyes narrowing at the short brunette. He had seen her in his territory in Laiba; she had been hunting down one of his spies. Not that it mattered in the end, even if he didn’t find out what was going with Tau. If they were going to be killed by a child; then it wasn’t his loss. “Now you’re going to be mine; along with Launce and Etienne.”
“Lynne, Lynne; you give gays a bad rep,” Viktorija told him.
Ismay felt the blood leave her body; Lynne Serpent. He was in the same team as Durango and Millicent D’terre; but at the same unlike just not being in the village like the other two. He was a traditor; he had tortured his own people and left families torn apart behind him with a single regret; he was a true monster.
He was as famous as Montgomery Atspoguļo in Nestanha.
“Besides, I’m never going to belong to anyone,” Viktorija hissed at him, pushing Launce and Etienne to the ground as Lynne dove at him, the fire around the top half of her body burning him before he pulled back. His skin was burnt, but Viktorija’s was fine. Standing in front of Etienne, fire going her fists. “Did the poor baby get burnt?”
Lynne glared at her, before looking behind. He caught Launce’s arm, avoiding the blade of his sword and then caught Viktorija’s ankles, slamming her into the ground before she could burn him again with her blasted bloodline.
Lynne threw Launce into Etienne as he tried to attack him. Viktorija rolled over, looking at the Atspoguļo males and she was coughing from the abuse her ribs had just gotten. This was why she fought alone, she couldn’t use her chakra draining seal without risking ending Launce, Etienne and Ismay’s lives.
Lynne looked up, more of them were coming. All three of them were as strong as Viktorija was, meaning, he knew that it wasn’t a good idea to hang around. While Launce wasn’t looking, he bit him on the right shoulder.
Viktorija looked at him with wide eyes, when he went for Etienne. She just shoved him out of the way, Lynne getting her left shoulder instead of getting his first attack and Viktorija could feel the burning in her veins. Like lava slowly burning her veins and nerves from the inside out and it made her want to scream in pain.
She had promised Launcelot that she would watch Etienne; she wasn’t going to break her big brother’s trust; she already had to watch one of her big brothers die because she was too weak too help him. She still missed Hervey Atspoguļo; he had showed her all the illusion spells she knew, including the one that was Ismay’s shoulder.
Dropping to the ground, she was slightly aware that Etienne had caught her and was holding her like a parent would hold their injured child. Lifting her hand, she quickly put a seal around the bit, one that would stop it from controlling her.
Viktorija tried to stay awake, even as it felt like her body was slowly turning against her.
Lynne knew that Viktorija wouldn’t be missed if she went missing, Apoloniusz had told him as much when they spoke. From the information that he had gathered in the last three years suggested that many would celebrate the moment she did go missing.
How his curse mark would work on a Holder of the one of the Deadly Sins; he didn’t know, and he would find out. He hoped that Viktorija lived, along with Launce; seeing as both had a six out of ten chances of dying.
He just wanted their bloodlines, all the elements at his disposal.
“Etienne, are you okay?” Ismay asked him, as she watched Viktorija in his arms. Pulling her up, both spotted the glowing mark on the back of her neck; Launce had a similar mark on his neck, the only difference was that Viktorija had another mark around it.
Etienne felt his heart break; he couldn’t help Launce and he couldn’t help Viktorija. He didn’t know any seals and he had been powerless in stopping Lynne putting them there in the first place. He hadn’t felt this helpless since he was five years old, swearing vengeance on his older brother as he looked at his dead aunt.
“I gave Launce and Princess Viktorija a present; they’ll come to me,” Lynne told them as he slowly disappeared. Viktorija watched as Aldona and Azuloas appeared only moments later, Montgomery shortly behind them.
Aldona taking her from Etienne’s arms, putting her hand on her shoulder. Melanthe wrapping her as Aldona kept her in her arms. Muttering something as Viktorija slowly cried from the pain, the burning was back, but she didn’t know what it was from.
“They’ll attack Nestanha,” Viktorija told her. “Lynne will want his revenge.”
“Azu is helping Launce, we’ll guard you two together; Lynne’s plan won’t happen,” Aldona promised, even though Viktorija just looked at her, her head filling heavy as Aldona held her tightly and moved her head to her shoulder. “Don’t worry Torija, you’re not going to die on us, you’re not allowed to die on us; not until your old and greying.”
“Not going to happen,” Viktorija told her, her eyes clothing as Melanthe wrapped herself around her slightly tighter, teeth going into her shoulder again and she didn’t know what was happening. But she knew no more.
