Both she and Katriane looked at Antionette’s picture, Charlies next to hers. Viktorija had one lily left, but she didn’t want to move. Katriane looked at her with a sad smile, before putting her hand on her shoulder and squeezed it. “You need a few minutes by yourself?” Katriane asked her. “If you don’t mind,” Viktorija told her. “Remember not to stay out that late,” Katriane told her, putting something in her hand and walking away. When Viktorija looked at her hand, Katriane had given her enough for dinner and breakfast, breakfast and lunch depending if she remembered to eat. Moving to stand in front of Manville’s picture, Viktorija felt torn. She wanted to hate him with all her heart, but he wasn’t the one who ordered people to make her life harder or as miserable as it had been.
