CHAPTER 13

Megan POV

As I was waiting for Zack to pick me up, I decided to put together a bag of snacks for the three of us to enjoy tonight. I planned on watching all of our old favorites. Since we were in college Jannelle was obsessed with all movies from the 80’s. Road house, breakfast club, dirty dancing the list goes on and on. So I made sure to have them all downloaded and ready to go! As I was packing my bag I found the picture of the three of us from Niagara falls in our senior year of college. Zack didn’t go to college. He was the Alpha and didn’t have time for school. At least not in the traditional sense. He was trained by the previous Alpha, his father Antonio DeMarchis and did online school to learn about the financial side of his father’s business.  Nonetheless, he would come up to see us every chance he got. One of those times we all decided to take the trip to Niagara Falls. We had dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe and danced the night away at Club Swag. I laughed at the name. The next morning we decided to take the tourist boat ride and by the end we were soaked. I remember Jannelle almost going overboard. That girl was accident prone! Still is, I thought with a laugh. But as always Zack saved her. Just in time he reached over and grabbed the back of her shirt and spun her around until she crashed into his chest. She looked up at him  and I could have sworn they were going to kiss. It was like a scene from the notebook. She gazed up at him all starry eyed and he looked down at her with love and if I’m being honest a little bit of lust in his eyes. But sadly that moment slipped away too soon. We were interrupted by the dozen of workers rushing to her side to make sure she was OK.  Damn. Oh well. Maybe they will get another chance to have that special moment again. I hope if it comes around, neither of them screws it up! Just then, I heard Zack knock on the door. 

Zack POV

I pulled up to Megan’s house a little later than I had planned to thanks to the Mendoza’s. Enough of them. I’m going to go and get Megan and head to the pack hospital. I can’t wait to see Jannelle. I knocked on Meg’s door and then let myself in. We had no secrets. Lord knows that woman has seen all of me. She walked in on me getting out of the shower before. Damn near got her head taken off for scaring the sh*t out of me like that. But nothing ever happened between us. She was always like my little annoying sister since I had met her through Jannelle back when they were in college. She is a good friend. I don’t know what I would do without her. So, Megs, are you ready to go? “Yea! I’m just closing up the bag I put together for the three of us for tonight.” She yelled from her bedroom. Umm. the three of us? I asked, slightly confused. “Yea I got all of her favorite snacks, chips, dip, salsa, cheese curls, yoohoo and of course Blue Moon beer. I also downloaded all of her favorite movies!” she said excitedly. Roadhouse? I asked. “You know it!” she replied. I’m in! I said. “I thought you’d  say that. I also decided to bring this along.” she said as she handed me a picture. I took it from her and just stared at it. Wow, I had almost forgotten about this day. I had planned on telling Jannelle how I felt about her until Scott bumped into her and swept her off of her feet. I said slightly pouting. Megan came around and hugged me around the waste. “I know, I’m sorry that happened. But you have a new start. He is out of her life and now you can finally confess your feelings for her.” Actually, I can’t. Jannelle told me in the hospital she has feelings for me but doesn’t know what they mean yet and isn’t ready to explore. I said as I looked back down at the photo. “I’m sorry Zack.  She will come around soon. We just have to remind her of who she was, back before Scott.” She said with a small smile. Yea, you’re right. Before Scott. I said with a small yet hopeful smile.

Jannelle POV

It was after seven at night when I heard a knock on my door. In came Megan and Zack. Megan was holding balloons and Zack had a beautiful bouquet of pink roses. Are they for me? I asked with a big smile. “Of course they are beautiful. I couldn’t bring you home without first giving you your favorite flower.” Zack said with that sexy smile of his. Goddess help me I feel like I might jump on him and attack his lips with long sensual kisses. I was quickly snapped out of that thought when I heard the small growl coming from Zack’s chest. Are you OK? I asked him. “I am. I think you are too.” He said with a smile. It was then I realized my panties were soaked. How the hell did that happen I asked myself? I turned bright red and walked back to my bed to get my things. I’ll just be a minute! I told them. Oh please Goddess! Please tell me he didn’t know I was aroused! I thought.

Megan POV

Knock Knock girly! I yelled as Zack and I walked into Jannelle’s hospital room. “Hey guys! Are those for me?” she asked Zack. Zack handed her the flowers and suddenly I noticed it wasn’t the roses that had her attention. When I heard the growl come from Zack I knew that his attention was somewhere down south. Oh boy I thought to myself. This evening is about to get interesting. 

Zack POV

When we walked into the room I couldn’t help the smile that spread across my face. I was smiling so big my face hurt. I wasn’t sure if I should hug her or just keep a small distance from her. I didn’t want to overwhelm her. When she saw Meg and I she smiled. When she asked if the flowers were for her I couldn’t help but smile and call her beautiful.  Suddenly I smelled more than roses in the room and my wolf growled. Jannelle asked me if I was OK. I was more than OK. This woman was turned on. I smelled her scent and more than ever I wanted to be between those thighs. Jannelle turned bright red and headed to her bed to gather her things. I shook my head pulling myself from the lustful haze I was in. To say this night would be interesting was an understatement. I heard Meg giggle next to me and I realized the night was not going to be interesting as long as the c**k block was here. I sneered at her which just made her laugh harder. Damn.
