The Unexpected Mate

Chapter 12

***Lizzy's Point of View***

        Getting out of the car felt great.  I didn't realize that my legs were starting to cramp up until I went to go walk and almost fell.  Thankfully no one was around to see and I quickly recovered and made my way to the bathroom.  After doing my business and washing my hands I decide it probably wouldn't hurt to splash my face with some cold water.  Just to cool myself down a little bit before getting back in the car with Nick.

        If I'm not careful we are probably going to end up having s*x in the car before we get o my parents house.  But then again s*x in the car could be a lot of fun.  Dear lord where are all of these dirty thoughts coming from.  Damn Nick.  But come to think of it my life has been a little better since he came into my life when I went speed dating with Abby.

    "Ready to go gorgeous"?

    "Yea sorry I took so long".

    "It's no worries I haven't been waiting long".

        We are on the road again and this time I'm going to keep a clear head about things.  Looking out the window again I got lost in my thoughts and just stayed quiet for most of the remainder of the car ride.  

        Before I knew it I was getting woken up by Nick as he was pulling into my parents driveway.  How long have I been out for?  I don't even remember going to sleep.

***Nick's Point of View***

        Looking over I see a passed out Lizzy and I can't help but smile.  Hopefully this girl will take me and become my Luna.  I've never wanted anything as bad as I want her to accept me.  Not even the Alpha title that my dad is bound and determined to hand down to me.  I get that I'm the oldest so its my duty but damn.  

        The job itself is a little intimidating I can't even imagine running the pack without help of my mate.  I honestly don't even know how my mom and dad run the pack.  Being one of the larger packs makes it a little difficult to keep track of everyone as it is.  On top of being the CEO of our design company.  At least I will have some help with my Beta and Gamma but I still want and need my Luna.

        Thank goodness for GPS.  Not that I needed it anyways.  It turns out that her parents are a part of my pack so I knew exactly where I was going in the lines of territory.  But house wise is where the GPS came in handy.  Pulling into their drive I decide that its time to wake Lizzy up.

    "Hey Lizzy.  We are here gorgeous".  I say while gently shaking her to wake her up.

    "Nick?  How'd we get here so fast"?

    "You fell asleep gorgeous so the trip may have seemed shorter for you".

    "Oh my goodness!  I'm so sorry Nick.  I'm the worst road trip buddy ever".

    "Nah while you were sleeping it gave me time to think about everything that has been going on in my life".

    "Well at least you weren't bored then.  I still feel bad though for falling asleep on you".

    "No worries.  Shall we"?  I say to her looking up at her parents house.

***Tonya's Point of View***

        Finally around noon I hear a car pull up in the drive.  I've been watching for her ever since she told me they had left her apartment.  I knew it wasn't a long drive from there to here only a couple hours so I was starting to worry.  Looking out the window just to take a peek at who she brought with her I was blown away.

        Nick Green!  I can't believe she unknowingly brought the Alphas son home to meet us.  For the sake of everything going to crap in the first couple hours we have to act like we don't know him.  I mean it's going to suck because in the end we will be lying but in the beginning it is what is needed.  I go to call for my husband but before I can he is already standing behind me.

    "Is that who I think it is dear"?

    "Yep sure is.  How she ended up with the alphas son is beyond me".

    "Great so not only do we have to explain that we have been lying to her this whole entire time we have to act like we don't know Nick as well".

    "That's exactly right Henry.  I can't believe it either".

        He leaves me at the window to watch and wait while he goes to his chair to read a book.  Finally they start walking up to the house after what seems like forever.  Before they even knock on the door I open it and engulf my little girl into a hug.  She has really grown in the last couple of years she has been gone.  I wish she hadn't of left because all of this would be so much easier.

   "Hey mom.  You are squeezing me to tight".  I hear Lizzy say before I finally let her go.

    "Sorry sweetie.  I've just missed you so much over the last couple of years".

    "Yea.  Sorry I haven't came to visit much.  Everything with my job has been crazy and we are recently going through a merge".

    I just shake my head acting like I know what she is talking about before saying, "So are you going to introduce us to your friend".

    Before she could even respond I get a mind link from Nick.

Do not act like we know each other.  She doesn't know that this is also my home.

You got it Alpha.  I was trying to figure out how I was going to pull it off anyways.

Leave most of the acting to me.

        Just like that our conversation was over but not before Lizzy noticed of course.  "Hey mom, what happened to you there"?

    "I don't know what you are talking about sweetie.  I just zoned our for a minute".

    "Ok if you are sure.  This is Nick Green, we met a couple of weeks ago"

    "Its so nice to meet you Mr. Green.  I hope it wasn't to much trouble finding the place".

    "Please call me Nick, Mr. Green is my father.  It was no trouble at all.  Luckily Lizzy thought to put the address into the GPS before she decided to take a nap".

    "Lizzy has never been one for car rides so I'm surprised she even lasted that long".

    "Mom!  Can you try not to embarrass me before we have lunch"?

    "Sorry dear sometimes I just can't help it".  I say before leading them into the kitchen.
