***Tonya's Point of View***
I knew that this day would one day come but I was hoping that she would take it a little better than she is. She doesn't believe us at all and you can tell by the way she is acting. Asking all the questions like why not keep the secret from her brothers and what not. But the truth is we didn't really have a reason why we didn't keep it from her brothers besides that they were going to take of the family business. Which apparently wasn't a good enough reason to her.
"It still doesn't explain why you guys lied to me my entire life. Anyways about this old friend that you guys mentioned. Where does he or she come into play"? She is a smart girl and I knew she wouldn't miss when we said that.
"When you were in high school and decided that you wanted to be on your own after graduation we reached out to a good witch that your father and I know. We told her about everything and she put a sleeping spell on your wolf".
"A sleeping spell? Now you are telling me that not only are there werewolves in the world but there are also witches too"?
"Yes dear, there are all types of supernatural beings living amongst us and the humans. They can conceal themselves just like we can. That is why we live in a pack on our own territory".
"Wait a minute? Your telling me that this whole town that I grew up in is populated by werewolves? How did I not see anything while I was growing up"?
"You see dear, you knew everything there was about werewolves growing up. It wasn't until you decided to leave the pack is when that all changed".
"Our friend that we asked to put a sleeping spell on your wolf also casted a spell to take away your memories of there ever being werewolves. So it was just a normal town to you", Henry told Lizzy very carefully trying to not upset her again.
"So you took my memories away? Hid the fact that I was a werewolf my entire life just because I wanted to go out and explore the world"?
"Hunny we did it to protect you. There are people out there that hunt us and if they were to discover you there is no telling what they would have done to you to get to the rest of the pack".
"I don't care the reason you did it! You could have at least let me keep my memories! Then all of this wouldn't have been life changing"! Lizzy said before she walked out the back door slamming it shut behind her.
***Nick's Point of View***
All I could do was watch Lizzy get up and storm out the door. I didn't even know how to react to what her parents had just revealed. I kept coming back to the conclusion that maybe they were trying to protect her. It all just seemed a little over the top if you ask me. I looked over at them and asked, "Why didn't you guys just tell her? Regardless of whether she wanted to explore the world or not".
"We thought we were doing what was best for her. If she never got her wolf then she wouldn't go into heat or have to deal with any of the stuff that makes us, us", her mother tried to explain to me.
"It would have made all of this so much easier on her though had you not hid what she was. Now she is suppose to be Luna of this pack and I'm not sure that is going to happen now".
"Just give her sometime Nick. She will come around I promise, she never stays mad long".
"Well I suggest that you call your old friend so she can bring back her memories and her wolf".
"There is one slight hiccup to that. You see when she did the memory spell she said it couldn't be reversed. She can only bring her wolf back and that was only if she had met her mate".
"Why would you guys do that to your own daughter? She deserves to have her memories back".
"We never expected her to come back to us with the headaches and let alone the future alpha of our pack".
"You mean to tell me she has been getting these headaches because of you guys"?
"Partially. Once she met her mate we knew that her wolf would try to surface so we were hoping to be able to tell her everything before that happened".
"I cannot believe you guys"!
With that being said I took off to find Lizzy. I needed to see her and hold her to make sure she was alright. I can't believe that her parents did that. All I could think about was maybe she would have known who I was if she had her memories back. Then her parents said that wasn't an option. They needed to fix this and fix it now.
Finally after walking for about 20 minutes I found her sitting on swing at one of the parks we had for the kids in our pack. I just stood there and watched her for a few minutes before approaching her. Making sure to make a little noise so I didn't startle her I came up behind her and started to push her on the swing. Just being together in silence was nice. I was glad that she didn't wonder off of the packs territory.
"Nick can I ask you something", she said while I was pushing her.
"Yea. Ask away and I will try my best to answer".
"Have we met before? Like when I lived here with my parents"?
"I would like to say yes but honestly I don't know. I was always busy with my brothers goofing around and getting into trouble its hard to say".
"I would like to say that we have. Then I wouldn't feel as crazy for how I feel about you".
"How do you feel about me gorgeous? I would like to know honestly".
"Honestly I feel safe and like I'm complete when you are around. You make my headaches go away so that's always a plus. Even though it is my parents fault for most of this".
"I'm glad you feel that way gorgeous. I also have something to tell you now that we are alone".
***Lizzy's Point of View***
"What do you mean you are the future alpha of this pack"? I yelled at him. I can't believe the nerve of this guy. Expecting me to be ok with having to lead a pack of almost 300 members. I now understand that I wouldn't be by myself but still its all to much for me today.
"Lizzy, please. Just wait a minute and give me a chance to explain".
"What is there to explain? I have no idea what is going on. My parents have lied to me since I graduated high school and took my memories away and now you are telling me that not only are you a future alpha but it just so happens that you grew up here too".
"I know this is a lot to take in Lizzy and I promise to wait as long as you need me to wait. I can talk to my dad and let him know that we aren't ready for those roles as of yet. Just please stay with me".
"I'm not saying that I'm leaving you. I'm just saying that I need time and for starters I don't want to stay with my parents for the weekend. I don't care to go and see them but I don't want to be in the same house as them at the moment".
"That can all be arranged and we can stay in the pack house in my room if you are ok with that. I will do anything to make you happy gorgeous".
With all that being said we started our walk back to my parents to collect my things. We continued to talk about his life here and our duties as Alpha and Luna once I was ready to take on the role. To be honest I didn't think I would ever be ready to take that step but I wasn't going to tell Nick that just yet. I would give him time just like he promised to give me the time that I needed.
I knew going to get my things from my parents house wouldn't be easy but I didn't want to stay there anymore. So when we finally arrived I went to go find my parents while Nick grabbed our bags and waited at the door for me. Finding them in dads study I was surprised to find them talking to someone on the computer. I just stood there and waited until their call was done to make my presence known.
