Erica ~ “What are you doing here?” My father asked as he opened the long cabinet beside the fridge. I blinked at him, after I had run out of my dark room where the shadows seemed to whisper and touch me I had hidden in the kitchen. My whole body was shaking as I had squeezed my eyes tightly in the dark cabinet and curled up into myself. I hated this dark but here there were no shadows, no rough hands and harsh whispers.
