I was sitting next to Noa on the small sofa in her living room. Beau stood in the doorway with his arms crossed over his chest, and Adriel was sitting in a small chair holding a pack of frozen peas to his lip with his eyes glued to Noa.
Beau had popped him in the lip when they were tumbling around. I can’t say I blamed him. I wanted to split Adriel’s lip myself. After I’d discovered he knew the location of Cullom and refused to tell me, I lost it.
He promised me if I agreed to come meet Noa first then he’d help me find my sister. I didn’t really have any other choice, he wouldn’t budge or compromise with me on the subject. I had to remain calm, but it wasn’t easy. I had wanted to hold Adriel down and let Beau go to town. It was the least he deserved, most of this was his mess. P
