We sat around the kitchen island eating a late dinner while we mapped out our plan. It had really started to take form. I didn’t like that Noa was insisting on us separating though. “Tell me again why we have to split up? I feel like every cliche anyone has ever read or watched tells you 100 times over why that’s a bad idea.” I asked her.
“I’ve told you already baby, I’ll need to draw Avery out along with the guards. That’s the safest way for you and Terra to get in there and look for my mother and her sister, Azucena.” She told me, glancing at Terra.
“I’ll be with her, Adriel. I know I’m the helper, but I wouldn’t let anything happen to her. I’d give my life for Noa, just like you would.” Beau chimed in.
