I’d woken up to Terra softly kissing my face. I instinctively reached for her and pulled her down into the bed with me, snuggling into her in the process. “My mother… she’s alive… and being held in Cullom.” I told her through fresh tears.
She gingerly ran her hand up and down my back in a soothing motion. I felt so surrounded by love when Terra was near, it truly did calm my inner turmoil. “Avery... that’s the man who took us... the man who tested me… the man I burned severely when I escaped… he’s been holding her all this time... doing only god knows what to her.” I choked out between deep breaths and my tears, I just couldn’t get them to stop.
