  Dario's POV   As I stepped into the grand ballroom of the Carver's mansion, I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe. The room was dripping in opulence, with crystal chandeliers refracting light across the marble floors. Gold accents glinted from every corner, and the air was thick with the scent of wealth and privilege.   I glanced around, taking in the sea of familiar faces. The cream of society had turned out in force, all of them eager to see and be seen. People would sell their souls for an invite from the Carver's.
