Aubrey's POV
I sat at my desk after lunch, my mind wandering back to the meeting I had with Dario. I scoffed at the thought of him begging me for us to get back together. I could still see the desperation in his eyes.
What does he take me for? A waste basket? I hissed, my heart racing in anger.
My face twisted into a bitter smile. If he thinks he can just walk back into my life after everything he put me through then he lied! I hit my fist on the table, causing it to tremble.
Just then, my door opened and Ryan walked in.
"Hello, Ryan," I said, trying to sound cheerful.
"Hi, miss Aubrey. I just wanted to remind you that you have a meeting with the marketing team at 4 pm today," Ryan said.
