Chapter 5It was enough to put anyone of their breakfast. As it was, Detective Sergeant Millson was looking decidedly sick. His normally bland features were unnaturally ashen and he threaded a hand through his short blond hair uneasily. The girl was stretched out on the rough waste ground, her body turned on its side until Coroner George Duggan, kneeling down beside her, turned her gently around to face him. It wasn’t difficult to conclude that the girl had been thrown out of a moving vehicle, just dumped there as if she were little more than a pile of garbage.
