The unexpected truth

Chapter 8: Round Two

After some touch-ups of makeup and fresh air, everyone was ready to start that entrance again. However, after reviewing the footage and the conversation between Dave, Ricky, and Kevin; Andrew was adding the reveal of the engagement into the show.

He wasn't sure how or when, but it made for good TV. And he didn't think it was true. Katie walked back downstairs and started the scene over as Rick walked into the door. She showed her shocked face once more, but she greeted him with open arms as he entered and yelled:

"Surprise"!

And oh, what a surprise it was.

The four joined in the living room as questions began. Andrew came onto set hiding in the shadows un-scene.

"So, how do you two know each other?"

Dave asked Rick without hesitation.

"Well, Katie and I are actually dating right now."

Rick said.

"Katie looked right at Kevin as his reaction meant more to her than Dave's. She already knew Dave. She didn't know Kevin. He just looked a little confused, but he didn't look intimidated either.

Kevin cleared his throat and said,

" Well, actually, we are all dating Katie right now. That's why we are here, after all. "

Kevin said, looking over at Katie, giving her a wink.

The intercom interuppted in that moment and yelled out that a couple of changes were being done. Instead of the next four guests coming in one by one, they will come in all together.

The show called for ten men to star as guests and Katie, of course. They had to rush production due to Katie's mishap and moment of emotion. The doorbell chimed as everyone laughed,talked, and drank champagne in the living room. Everyone had their own response to the doorbell, making for good television.

Andrew came out of the shadows standing next to Jeff. Katie glanced over just in time to notice him. The four men walked in the door, and one shouted,

"Do you mind if we add some excitement to this party?!"

As everyone laughed and welcomed the men into the house. One of the men was named Justin. He was shorter than the rest but had dark skin, brown eyes, and black hair. He is a UFC fighter, so his personality of being tough and bold stood out well. Aaron was another among the men that was dark skinned with brown eyes and brown hair. He was a massage therapist and a trainer for athletes. He worked out a lot and owned his own gym. Then there was a man named Mikey. He had blue eyes, blonde hair, and a nice body. His height gave away that he must play basketball. But he was a baseball player and a chef.

And lastly, to walk into the door was a very sophisticated man. His name was Todd, and he had a beautiful smile, a nice body, and wore adorable glasses. He was the owner of his own store.

Katie started counting the men in the room with her fingers and meeting each of the new arrivals one by one. Charming, kind men were in her presence. She seemed okay at that moment.

But she didn't know exactly how many men would walk through the door.

So far, she counted seven, and in her mind, she was content.

Then the door bell chimed.

Mikey shouted,

"Oh s**t there is more!"

Everyone laughed, waiting for the entrance.

The door opened, and in came a man named Walter. He is one of the men in Katie's life outside of reality TV, the same as Ricky. Walter and Katie had known each other their whole lives and went back and forth with friendship and hookups for years.

Walter crushed on Katie her whole life, and he loved everything about her. She had a feeling he was in love with her but wasn't sure. They never had a s****l encounter and only kissed and held hands. They spent time together privately, and nobody in their families knew they spent time together and talked beyond family gatherings. Katie kept her composure at the sight of him and was herself just as Andrwew asked of her.
