The unexpected truth

Chapter Two: The Call

Katie was sitting in her favorite spot in her home town drinking her morning coffee. This was her normal routine on her days off otherwise she would be working her 9 to 5 day job as a waitress. Katie had 2 college degrees but she was working on a degree to become a lawyer. She has many different jobs because she loved trying new things and was super adventurous.

Katie is the kinda woman who could do it all and look beautiful doing it. This may have been what attracted the men in her life. She has all the characteristics men want, and the lifestyle that fits into any man's. And this was the interesting part to Katie being the perfect candidate for the TV show.

As Katie looked at the sunrise over the mountains her phone rang. She did her usual grin as she reached for her phone wondering which one of her desirable men sent their "good morning beautiful" text. But it was an out of state number that she doesn't usually answer. But Katie had a feeling she needed to take the call.

"Hello, this is Katie" she said cheerfully.

"Hi Katie my name is Jeff and I'm calling from Reality TV productions, and the reason I'm calling is because your friend Mary got in contact with our writers about making you a star of our new Reality TV show. Now before you say anything let me say this is not a joke, your not being pranked and our producer is very Interested in meeting you and signing you as the star of our show."

Jeff said waiting for a response.

Katie stayed quiet for a second and than took a breath.

"So, since this isn't a joke, and your dead ass serious…. when is this all supposed to start and where exactly?"

Katie responded with confusion in her voice.

"Good question Katie and The answer to that is as soon as possible. We have already taken the liberty of talking with your work since your bestfriend Mary owns the restraunt you waitress at, and she is on board with you taking time off to do this".

Jeff answered.

Katie hesitated and responded very quickly,

"I'm sorry I'm just in a little bit of shock at the moment. I am trying to wrap my head around this. I'm not surprised that Mary would pull something like this but I understand why she did. So, if I'm getting paid than I say… HELL YEAH sign me up".

Jeff continued the conversation by telling Katie where and when to meet and alll other factors she needed to know pertaining to the show. After an hour of talking Katie hung up the phone and shouted,

"Oh my God I'm going to kill her!".
